The space that is rented has access to the street and is completely independent of the family house, located in the center of the city of Santa Clara, 500 meters from the Central Park and 200 of the main cultural and commercial centers, as well as stop of bus The guest has at his disposal a complete apartment with spacious living room, kitchen, bathroom and garden.
Built in the 1930s with colonial style, it was built to be inhabited by the Hernández Nodarse family by the grandfather of Alfredo Martirena Hernández, owner of the house today, whose property has undergone a restoration process for approximately 10 years and has allowed Rescue all the grace of the architecture of the time of high pillars that guarantees natural ventilation, one of the benefits it provides for a country as warm as ours.
The part of the house dedicated to rent has living room, large room available for 3 people, kitchen, bathroom and garden. All with independent output and exclusive use for our guests, where you can breathe a family atmosphere and very safe.
With all the necessary amenities for an optimal rest, it has air conditioning, hot water, hair dryer, refrigerator, basic elements (towels, sheets, toilet paper, gel, shampoo, etc).
The room has been decorated with unique pieces by local artists and other contemporaries of our country, being a unique space for reading, working with pc and to talk. One of the services we provide is the tour of galleries of local artists to learn about their work and workspace.
Next in the room is the work of the artist Alfredo Martirena Hernández, humorous illustrator and cartoonist and winner of national and international awards, who is also with his wife Niury (graphic designer in the local newspaper) host of the house.
It has a central garden for exclusive use for customers, spacious and full of ornamental plants that allows relaxation, relaxation and an exquisite space to work with notebooks.
The house is 5 minutes from the Central Park and close to the most important shops, restaurants and cultural spaces of the city, 10 minutes from the Viazul stop and 5 minutes from the local bus stop.
We provide visitors with the necessary information to travel in and out of our city, as well as the different culinary offers we offer and also some recommendations of sites of historical and cultural interest so that your visit is profitable, fun and an unforgettable experience.

It is an independent apartment from the family home, but only people from the reserve are allowed to enter the place. Parties are not allowed. Smoking is not allowed inside the rooms. But we have a very nice interior patio where you can smoke if you wish. Change of sheets and towels every 3 days for guests who spend that time. There is an amount of 5 usd if the key is lost.

Very nice host & great house! The private entrance/sitting room was dedicated to us. Bedroom had attached bathroom with a nice shower. Also attached small kitchen. Niury made us a very good breakfast and provided recommendations for a good restaurant. She also arranged for a moto-taxi to the viazul bus station (about ten minutes ride). House is about ten minutes walk to central square area and about 20 minutes walk to Che museum.

Niury y su familia son encantadores. Nos acompañaron a un aparcamiento cercano para dejar el guardado el coche de alquiler que traíamos, desde el alojamiento se puede ir dando un paseo corto a todos los puntos de interés de Santa Clara. El alojamiento es anexo a la vivienda pero completamente independiente, con entrada separada, una salita, habitación con cama doble + otra cama extra con aire acondicionado y ventilador, baño y una minicocina con nevera. Perfecto para nosotros!! Y el desayuno que nos preparó Niury fue el mejor de todo el viaje, estaba todo riquísimo pero imposible terminarlo!! Para nosotros sin duda ha sido uno de los mejores alojamientos en nuestro recorrido por Cuba. Fue un enorme placer conocerles familia!!

Niury y Alfredo nos recibieron con gran agazajo. Un café con un postre casero nos esperaba a la llegada. La simpatía, la gentileza y la disponibilidad caracterizan a estos anfitriones. El apartamento disponible es muy completo, con todas las comodidades y un patio exterior está dispuesto para tomar el desayuno muy bien servido con todos los detalles. La limpieza es impecable. La cocina y el baño están bien equipados. Nosotros nos hemos sentido muy bien en compañía de Niury y Alfredo y recomendamos a todo aquel que quisiera visitar Santa Clara y pasar un agradable estadía.

Absolutely the best casa we stayed at during our entire time in Cuba! Alfredo and Niury are very friendly and helpfull hosts. Also, their pets Roma and Téo proved to be very nice company (only if you let them, they do not come into the guest part of the house). The casa consists of a bedroom, bathroom, small kitchen and living room. All private, clean and in great shape. Ask Niury for nice restaurants near to the casa, her suggestions are great!

Loved the casa, great and helpful hosts. The location was very close to the city center and breakfast was delicious. The many cartoons on the wall added a nice personal touch to the casa.

Martirena's was the best casa we stayed at during our two-week trip to Cuba. The casa is an independent apartment that shows that the people who run it have a very good taste and pay great attention to detail. It has a spatious living room, decorated with old pieces of furniture and art creating a unique atmosphere, a comfortable bedroom and its own kitchen and light-hearted garden. The whole apartment is very clean, as is the big bathroom. Niury and Alfredo are excellent hosts. They received us with a big smile, making us feel at home from moment one, and gave us useful tips about their hometown. Niury offered us one of the best and richest breakfasts we had in Cuba, even accompanying it with fresh flowers from her garden! We absolutely recommend it and only regret that we could not stay longer!
