About the Area
The hostel is located in one of the principal streets of Trinidad, straight up and around 300 meters it is the Historic Center of our city, which seems to have stopped in the nineteenth century. In a straight line to the opposite side and less than 4 km begin our beaches which are lapped by the Caribbean Sea.

House Rules
-The time of arrival to the guesthouse is any time after 2:00 PM, anyway you can come earlier, but probably you have to wait a little bit whether some other visitor is leaving the house at that moment.
-Staying in a room, please check all the things in it. Immediately inform administration about non-functioning or damaged things.
Please keep our home secure as possible as you can and double-lock the front door when entering and leaving the house.
-Keep noise to a minimum after midnight please.
-You can't bring strangers into our home, please let us know if you like to invite a friend over just agree it with me in advance. Friends are not authorized to stay at home after 9:00 PM (We want that you stay safe with us).
-You can feel free to ask me any thing about the house or places to visit.
-Please order your breakfast the day prior, and your dinners during your breakfast time or before 3 PM.
Please enjoy your stay and treat our family house as you would your own home!!! :)

We stayed in 5 different Casa's while we were in Cuba and our stay with Mariaelena was great. Hostal Rocaverde is on a rough street, but don't be put off the Casa is very good accommodation both in terms of quality and value. We had three very nice rooms all with bathrooms and airconditioning. The whole place is very clean, there is a lovely courtyard for relaxing and meals and a terrace. Marialena is very friendly and welcoming and helped us with information on restaurants and the town. We had a great dinner and the breakfast was also good - fruit, eggs, pastries, juice and coffee. Plenty to start the day. Trinidad is a lovely town and a short drive to the beach. We felt very at home and overall we had a great stay and I would highly recommend Hostal Rocaverde.

We had a very enjoyable time with Mariaelena and her other guests. The dirty street outside the house was very deceptive because inside her house was charming and relaxing. Our room was very well appointed - the best we experienced in our 2 weeks in Cuba. We ate excellent food in the courtyard and Mariaelena and her family were very helpful, friendly and available constantly to sort out any touristic queries we had.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
