Mayelin and her mother were so kind to us during our stay and helped us book transport to the beach and to Varadero! The do not speak English very well, but it goes fine by hand signs and a little effort!
The electricity went off for a couple of times during our stay which was terrible due to the hot weather! But it was apparently a common thing to happen en Trinidad...Host reply

Omara and her daughter, Mylene were very nice people and provided a nice basic breakfast served on the shaded lower patio. The location of the flat was very good and it only took a few minutes to walk into the centre. In the heat of the day it was nice to come back and read on swing seat in the shade or sit on the roof terrace. Bearing in mind this homestay was the cheapest on our Cuba trip and Omara had just had an operation to her hand; but the whole 4 night experience was still let down by the room and the cleanliness of the room. The small room sits in the middle of the house and has no natural windows , just an opening flap to the corridor. Therefore it was fresh air versus privacy, and at night it turned into a hot box. The novel air con plant was stuck through the wall inside a cupboard; if turned on, you couldn't sleep without earplugs, if turned off, you fried. The room to the best of our knowledge was not cleaned or the "toilet tissue bin" emptied in the 4 days we were there; the basin was hanging off the wall and the tap moved in an orbit all of its own. On the plus side there was adequate hot water to the shower and basin. All-in-all though we still had a great time in Trinidad.

The stay was simply wonderful. Omara and her daughter Mayerlin were the perfect hosts and just lovely! Can gladly recommend it to anyone - also dinner and breakfast were very delicious. The casa is also located central with short walking distance to any important sights in the city.

The house is amazing-gorgeous terrace with lovely 2 terraces and nice details. Omara is very kind and will try to make you will comfortable and help you with your stay. The house was very clean, too. Our recommendations for future improvement for the house would be to clean the bathroom once a day during guests stay and to try a bit harder with the breakfast cause it was very tight comparing to other casas we stayed in.
