Rivero´s House

たまたま見つけた数少ない日本人の方のレビューの内容が良かったため選びました。2018年5月に5泊しましたが、まさにレビュー通りに素晴らしいホストファミリーであり、またこちらが必要とする時以外は干渉してこない距離感が心地よく、非常に快適な滞在でした。
部屋は1部屋のみですが、ダブルベッドとシングルベッド(一人旅でしたので物置きにしてました)があり、冷蔵庫(飲み物は全て路上の店で売られている値段と同じいう良心的な設定です), テレビ, エアコン, ファン, バスルーム(シャワー水温, 水量ともに問題ありません), 小さなバルコニー(タバコ吸えます)が完備されていて何不自由なく過ごせます。
wifiもありますがキューバですので宿ではほぼ使えませんが、中心地にあるホテル(まさかの日本の回線速度とほぼ同じ速度の回線が利用可能なおすすめホテルを発見しNaisyに伝授してありますので詳細は聞いて下さい)まで徒歩5分で行けますので問題ありません。
宿の周辺は「現地の人々の生活感溢れる景色」が広がっておりますが(インドに行かれたことがある方は懐かしく思うかもしれません)、治安は全く問題なく、夜中に女性が一人で歩けるレベルです(街並みからは信じられませんが)。
宿の唯一の欠点は、Naisyがあまり英語を喋れないということぐらいですが(Google翻訳使いこなします)、夫のJoseはそこそこ話せますし、彼女も週末に英会話教室に通い勉強しているようですので、将来的には解消されるものと思われます。
キューバはホテルが不必要に高く、明らかにコストパフォーマンスが悪いため(4つ星ホテルでも施設が古くwifiも使えないとかザラです)、民泊がベストだとは思いますが、数ある宿の中でもこの宿はかなりオススメです。

I stayed in this casa for 5 nights in May, 2018. The host family was friendly and wonderful and I could have a comfy and laid-back stay. The room had all what I needed (fridge, TV, AC, fan, bathroom, small balcony) and the location was perfect as well (5min walk to both Centro Habana and Malecon). Although the wifi signal of this casa was very weak (it is very common in any casas as well as even in 4-star hotels though), you can connect to robust one in a hotel in Centro Habana (Naisy and her husband, Jose, know). The view of the neighboring area isn't fancy but it's really safe and you can feel and experience local people's life, for sure! Though Naisy didn't speak English very well, Jose spoke fluently and the communication didn't matter at all. Thanks to the nice host family, comfy room, and convenient location, my whole stay was awesome and I do recommend y'all to stay in this casa!

Naisy and her family were absolutely wonderful hosts for our first trip to Havana. They were so accommodating and helpful in suggesting sites to see, providing wifi access at their house (as well as suggesting other wifi spots), suggesting where to exchange currency, etc. Our room was perfect for the two of us and it had a great private bathroom and private balcony. Shower was great with good pressure and plenty of hot water. We stayed 3 nights at the end of April and the weather was perfect and did not require air conditioning (but the room had one if we had needed it). Nancy and Ismael's casa is in a very convenient and safe location close to many museums, the Prado, Habana Vieja and the Malecon. Note to US travelers: don't let the late night street activity fool you into thinking this is an unsafe area. Poorly lit streets with people hanging around at night doesn't present the same kind of danger as it does in US urban areas.

Also, Nancy's breakfasts were a great way to kickstart our long days of exploration of beautiful Habana. If we could give Naisy, Ismael and Nancy 100 hearts we definitely would!

The room is clean and has everything you need: double + single bed, private bathroom, a locker and a TV (we did not use it). Naisy and her family did everything to help us, make us comfortable an feel us at home. She prepared every morning an excellent breakfast (too much). Naisy's father arranged a save indoor parking place for our car. She advised us some excellent restaurants in the neighbourhood, and for our last night she arranged us tickets for a "Buena Vista Social Club" - style concert (very good!!!). One evening we returned from dinner in a restaurant and her family had a visit from a friend from Mexico. Her family insisted we joined. We had a nice evening, we talked a lot and drunk (perhaps a bit too much) tequila on the house.

If you go to Havanna, I can strongly advice you to choose the casa particular from Naisy.
