We stayed in Roy James’s room for 2 nights and it’s was incredible ! Roy is really the best host ever, he is so friendly, interesting and provide us very good advices. The room is very great, with a little balcon, an exclusive bathroom, UK plugs for charging. It’s very cocooning and with a good price. The room is well positioned, in zone 2 with 2 train station very close (underground and overground) and many buses. It’s near Brick Lane & Shoreditch, very animated towns. You can go here without worries ! We recommend it so much !

Me, my husband and my (3 year old) son stayed for 4 nights at Roy's place. Roy was nothing but helpful and gave us the space we needed. He gave us lots of good advice and great knowledge of London to help us out.
The place itself is exactly like the photo's, spacious and safe.
Hackney is great for kids, with a local park and shops nearby. Buses take you everywhere u need to go.
I would certainly stay with Roy again and recommend him should you want to stay in London.

My daughter and I loved the experience! It was our first stay with homestay and it couldn't have been any better. Roy's pictured description how to get to his apartment from the airport was a great help and easy to follow . Although he offered his kitchen for having breakfast we followed his suggestion and had,after a 10 min walk through a park nearby, breakfast on the Main Street of hackney in a small shop with cafe every morning . Roy is very considerate and kind . Whenever our plans are visiting London again we would love to book with Roy again . Thanks a million :)))

Magnifique séjour, Roy est très prevenant et il connaît Londre comme sa poche. Il nous a donné beaucoup de conseil utile et nous a permis de gagner beaucoup de temps dans notre organisation pour notre séjour. Roy est très discret et quand nous voulions discuter avec lui, il était très ouvert et nous avons appris beaucoup de chose sur cette ville.
L appartement est très confortable et répond exactement aux photos.
Le quartier est très sympathique avec parc, marché, resto, café . On y trouve de tout. Et les transports sont à 2 pas de l appartement. Très bien desservi pour le centre de Londre très très bonne situation .

My mother and I traveled to London and stayed at Roy's place for 4 nights. This area of London was a very convenient location for a lot of good places to eat, a park, and plenty of public transportation options to get you around the city. We found that taking the 48 bus which stops in front of the town hall a block from Roy's place ended up being a lot more convenient to downtown than the underground station at Hackney. The flat was clean and cute though I believe the host is currently organizing his stuff so we did find it difficult to find enough space and places to put our things. The bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom clean though at some point one of the supplied towels disappeared from our room, I'm assuming to be cleaned and used for the new guests. Good thing I brought my spare. The door and floor to the smaller room creaks very badly when opened and we felt bad that we might disturb Roy or the other guests but it is something that can't be helped. I guess the only real negative is that we didn't have the time to get to know our hosts more. Roy and his girlfriend are very friendly and I would definitely recommend his flat!

Roy was a most kind and generous host. His knowledge of the Hackney and London was far better than I've ever read about in any guide book, and he also gave me tips on where to go, how to get around and places of interest that aren't necessarily on the usual tourist routes which was refreshing. My stay was highly enjoyable and I loved getting to know the local area. His apartment is wonderfully unique and also warm and inviting. I would not hesitate to recommend Roy's apartment to anyone wishing to stay. I look forward to my next trip to the UK in which I will definitely look to stay at Roy's again. Thank you Roy for a remarkable experience!
