We can thoroughly recommend Alberto. His home ia is a nice apartment in a leafy part of Vancouver quite close to some smart hotels and convenient for transport and downtown as well as the tourist places. Warm welcome and a comfy bed. Use of kitchen and one or two surprising extras. You have to find the intercom in front of the door so ask for instructions once you are in touch if like us you are unused to smart apartment blocks.
We like to stay in a real family home and meet local people. April is Hawaian and has a very full house. When we stayed there were also two
Japanese and one French student as well as assorted family members, one of whom was helpful in our accessing wifi. It takes a youngster! If you want uncluttered impersonal and ensuite hotel like standards, this is not for you. if you don't mind a bit of clutter and busy, but like to eat mangos fresh picked off the tree and access to as many hot drinks as you care to make, and a massive fridge for guests, then April's big home is good. She is so calm and relaxed amidst the comings and goings and running her own business from home too! Access to Honolulu and Waikiki is excellent by a regular bus service number 13, 4 dollars for a 3 hour hop on and off , only 2 changes allowed, ticket. It gets you to the airport.

Tracy and Kevin are wonderful people. They have only just begun to take in guests, but are vey hospitable. We had a good sized double room with a bathroom next door. The food was a mix of Chinese and western and was delicious. We had vey interesting conversations around the dinner table and they gave us great suggestions about what to do. The location of this Homestay is great as not too far from the international airport. It is right next to the Captain Cook bridge and a short drive to the Botany Bay landing site, which is also an Aborigine heritage site, as well as having easy drives to a national park and to the famous beaches south of Sydney, like Bondi. So there is lots to do an see. Just enjoy!
This is an apartment on the top floor of a 7 story building, but the lift is quick and there is secure parking. There is a big en suite bedroom and a nice balcony with a table and benches. There is air con for hot nights and we used this one hot night.
The location is fantastic for exploring Sydney as the train station is close and there are plenty of trains to different parts of Sydney. For us over 60s this was inexpensive. It is also close to good shops and supermarkets.
We were provided with maps and a guide book by Leila, which were really useful.
The wifi was quick and easy to use.
The bedroom and all facilities were exceptionally clean. We were able to use the fridge, cooker and microwave if we needed to and could use their basics like milk and bread too.
The students are both busy people so we tried not to interrupt their studies but were friendly and available if needed.
Thank you Leila and Samson and you are welcome in York with us if you wish to come to England!
Great welcome. Everything clean, comfortable and as you would like. Location fantastic, as the house backs onto National Park land, birds land on the balcony and trees behind and it is a very short walk to the beach, a wildlife reserve, the village and lots of coast and forest walks. The best thing was some great recommendations for walks and places to eat and showing us where the kangaroos congregate at dusk. Natalie herself is always busy, but makes time for you. Please stay for at least 2 to 3 nights plus, or you will miss much that this area has to offer.

The loveliest couple you'll ever meet! It was an absolute delight hosting Ruth and her husband Allan. We shared many wonderful conversations over tea and she even shared her recipe for homemade Yorkshire pudding :) It was my first time hosting an experienced Homestay Host (10 years) and it was great to share our experiences together. Ruth and Allan have an open invitation to stay with me anytime. Thanks again for the memories.
