If you intent to come study in Bordeaux (Kedge? Cafa?) and are looking for an accomodation in a family house, we have all you need: As a qualified teacher, I will be happy to welcome you in our house, maybe teach you the language and let you share our family life. My children (age 15, 20, 22 and 24) may be or not home - depending of their studies. They learn English, German, Spanish, Chinese and Italian. We've been hosting foreign students (Asian and American, mainly) for several years and we all love to meet new people.
The house is in the Saint-Bruno neighbourhood in the center of Bordeaux. It is close to tramway and bus stations with direct acess to the university, the airport and shopping areas. We also live within walking distance of the local community centre where you can practise nearly any sport you want or follow music classes.
The guest room is in the ground floor (the other bedrooms are upstairs). From there, it's easy to access the bathroom, toilet, living room, kitchen and front door.
As a guest, you will have access to the parent's bathroom (the children's bathroom is on a different floor).
Please kindly note that, as it is my own home, I would rather host (young) students. It's not an hotel and I am not confortable hosting adult or couple.
Additional Info
There is no better way to learn a foreign language than to speak it in everyday situations. Your host Laurence offers qualified language instruction in her native language French. One hour of instruction costs 30.00 EUR. The classes will be given by the host himself at the accommodation.

I stayed with Laurence back in June 2022 and my experience was excellent! Laurence and her family made me feel at home and we shared many laughs. The family speak very good English but they took the time to help me practice my French. If I find myself back in Bordeaux I will stop by and say hello.

Laurence and her family were really welcoming and made me feel at home, and were so helpful with any questions I had. I really enjoyed my stay here and was sad it was cut short by covid. But I 100% recommend them as hosts to everyone; you will love it here!

Je viens de passer une semaine chez Laurence! Je me suis bien amusé! La famille est très accueillante et amiable! Laurence et ses enfants parlent anglais, mais m'ont parlé uniquement français pour m'aider en apprenant le français. Ils étaient très patients avec mon français et m'ont fait découvrir la ville! La maison est très bien situé et facile à trouver depuis l'aéroport. Et la nourriture -- formidable!! Je recommande forte qu'on reste chez Laurence! :)
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
