The Annexe Chadalais provides comfortable, flexible and self-contained bed and breakfast accommodation for up to four people, and offers a warm welcome year-round. The Annexe holds the recognised tourist classification Chambre d'hôtes référence® (obtained 2022) guaranteeing the quality of our accommodation and guest services.

The Annexe is situated in Haute Vienne, close to the borders of Charente and the Dordogne which makes it the perfect location for an overnight stop if you are passing through, or visiting friends or events in the area.

The Annexe is part of our main family home but is independent and guests have their own private entrance permitting them to come and go as they please during their stay. Used for only one reservation at a time, this offers guests their own private space during their stay with no communal areas.

The Annexe offers a private suite comprises of a King bedroom, Twin bedroom, private lounge and private bathroom. The Annexe can accommodate between 1 and 4 guests (plus an additional baby under 2) and so is ideal for those travelling as individuals, a couple, a family or small group.

The Annexe is clean and well-presented offering comfortable beds with adequate storage, character features and views over the gardens and surrounding countryside. All bedding and towels are provided, along with basic toiletries.

Guests of The Annexe have their own lounge and a private bathroom with a walk-in shower. There is a TV with UK and International channels and Wi-fi is available. With guests staying on a Bed and Breakfast basis, there are no kitchen facilities, but there are ample tea and coffee making facilities and provisions as well as a small fridge.

Due to the differing requirements of our guests, we do not offer a served or buffet breakfast, but include a self-serve in-room continental breakfast with the standard rental rate (pastries, tea/ coffee, fruit juice).

We are also able to accommodate one infant under two years- a cot and highchair can be provided. We do not accept pets. Smoking is permitted in external areas only.

The Annexe is designed as short term accommodation on a ‘room’ only or bed and breakfast basis, and as such has no kitchen or dining facilities or access to outside space.

We are also accredited Accueil Velo ® (obtained 2022) and Rando Accueil ® (obtained 2022) meaning we are a great place to stay if you are exploring or passing through our area by foot or by bike. We are able to offer meals, transfers and suitable storage and maintenance facilities to such guests.

We are a short drive from several towns and villages where there are numerous dining options- details of local restaurants and eateries are provided to guests. Due to the nature of the accommodation, there is a maximum stay of two nights.

The Annexe is a unique space offering privacy and comfort. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

About the Area

The Annexe is in Chadalais, part of the commune of Maisonnais-sur-Tardoire in the Parc Natural Regional Perigord.

Whilst situated rurally, we are on the border of the Haute Vienne (87), Charente (16) and Dordogne (24) and as such have excellent accessibility to many small villages and larger towns for their amenities.

Please note that there are no amenities within walking distance. The nearest bar and bakery are approx. 3km, and the nearest restaurants are approx. 10km. We are a short drive from the village of Saint Mathieu (10km) with a supermarket, post office, tabac and other amenities. The larger towns of Rochechouart, La Rochefoucauld, Piegut-Pluviers, Nontron, Montbron, Saint Junien and Confolens- and many smaller villages- are all within a scenic 30-minute drive and the cities of Limoges and Angouleme are both around 40 minutes away.

Our location is ideal for short stays for those househunting, visiting for business, passing through or visiting the area for family events. We are also just a short drive from Domaine des Étangs, Château Rocher and Golf International de la Prèze making us a perfect overnight option for those attending weddings and events at either venue.

Our nearest airport is Limoges which flies to many UK destinations and is around 45 minutes away. We are also easy to access by car from the UK- by ferry from Calais (7 hours), Caen (5 hours) and Le Havre (6 hours), or the Eurotunnel (7 hours).
