My kids and I went to Marseille in October and we enjoyed our stay. We are from Germany. Ela was the most friendly person I could imagine. She helped me to get a ticket, she even picked me up when I arrived the first day and there were no buses because we arrived late in the evening. That was so kind of her, otherwise we had to call a taxi. (Even that is not easy, when you are in a totally foreign country!) During the week we were on outings every day and came back in the evening. We cooked dinner in the little apartment and watched TV, then went to bed. We had an apartment of our own, so we had our 'own key' and we were independant from our host. On the picture you can see the two windows of the apartment. There were two rooms with beds to sleep. One room is bigger and had a double bed, the other room has a single bed. There are also a shower, a toilet, a sink, a little kitchen in the corner with mugs and dishes and pots, even a refrigerator. Everything you need. Surely it's not luxurious, it's basic. But if you are looking for some luxury, then you have to go to a five star hotel. But if you are looking for a nice and cosy sleep over with friendly and helpful hosts, then this is the right address!

Hello,
the time at Ela was very special. She helped me to find the nicest places in the city. On a Sunday afternoon she made a trip with me by bycicle and showed me the city. She made everything possible. She was well prepared with lots of reading material for tourists. Ela is very kind and open towards guests. It was a pleasure to be with her.

Absolutely loved staying with Ela and her family. Ela is a very welcoming host. She loves getting to know people, talking to them and if you need any help or advice she is the person to go to. She always made me & my girlfriend feel very welcome in her home, which I appreciated the most. The house is big, nice and clean. The room is lovely and equipped with everything you need. The bus stops very close to the house so getting to the city centre or seacoast is quite easy (second best way to get to downtown, 5-10th minute walk to underground station). A free parking lot is next to house.
Would recommend to anyone who wants to see Marsielle and experience a bit of provence culture.March 2016
Thanks so much Ela ...Tomas und Viola ...Polen

Ela is very nice and gave me many advices on the sightseeing of Marseille. The room is big with attached bathroom and kitchen with your own privacy. I strongly recommend this host.
