My name is Stephanie, I'm a foodblogger and cookbook writer. I can offer you a great experience of french way of life with french cooking lessons in English or in French to make you practice language (information below).
My husband, Romain is a freelance graphic designer. He makes theater. He speaks fluent English.
We love to travel and meet new people.
We have 4 children:
Emma, 24, graduated in kitchen, she has her own apartment and no longer lives with us.
Camille, 22, student, he learned English and Spanish, makes theater. He has his own apartment and no longer lives with us too.
Oscar, 15, loves skateboarding and plays drums.
Juliette, 12, practices dance and climbing.
We have 2 cats, Kiwi and Zorro.
The house is in the Saint-Augustin neighborhood close to the tramway (1 minute walk) that takes you to the center of Bordeaux in 10 minutes. It's a quiet area close to tramway and bus stations with direct access to the university, the airport, shopping or sport areas.
We have a large house (200 square meters), with 6 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, a garden and a swimming-pool. There is wifi throughout the house.
We can offer half-board (breakfast and dinner). I always cook fresh and mostly organic food.
The price of half-board is 25 € / person / day or 150 € / person / week.
French cooking lessons: 50 € for 2hours / person.
Capucins Market tour (big food market of Bordeaux): 50 € / person
Pick-up to airport or rail station (1 way): 25 €
The room rate includes the following services: washing machine usage, and internet access, heating.

Stéphanie y Romain han sido unos grandes anfitriones. Siempre muy atentos conmigo, brindándome aquellos detalles que te hacen sentir integrado. Con ellos conocí "l'appéro", que es una instancia de convivencia en la que nos pudimos conocer mejor, y en la que me entregaron orientación y consejos que me han ayudado mucho a desenvolverme en el contexto francés. Con ellos me sentí muy cómodo y seguro, ya que sabía que podía contar con su cercanía y buena disposición. Creo que establecimos un vínculo muy especial!!
Respecto de las instalaciones, estas eran muy confortables y prácticas. El entorno muy seguro, tranquilo, con servicios y transporte cercanos. Excelente!!Français:
Stéphanie et Romain ont été des hôtes remarquables. Toujours très attentif à moi, me donnant ces détails qui te font sentir intégré. J'ai rencontré «l'appéro» avec eux: c'est un moment de convivialité dans lequel nous avons appris à nous connaître et dans lequel ils m'ont donné des conseils et des orientations qui m'ont beaucoup aidé à me développer dans le contexte français.
Pendant mon séjour, je me suis senti très à l'aise et en sécurité avec eux, sachant que je pouvais compter sur leur proximité et leur bonne disposition. Je pense que nous avons établi un lien très spécial !!
En ce qui concerne les installations, celles-ci étaient très confortables et fonctionnelles. L'environnement très sûr, calme, avec des services et des transports à proximité.

Stéphanie and Romaine were incredible hosts and were so helpful. They were also very patient with my as I am slowly learning French.

My son stayed with Stephanie & her family for a week, whilst he carried out his exams. He absolutely loved staying with them, he said the whole family made him feel at home & would like to keep in touch with them. I would highly recommend a homestay with Stephanie & her family.

If you want to experience true genuine french hospitality I highly recommend staying with Stéphanie and her lovely family. I stayed for just under 2 weeks and loved getting pampered with fantastic dinners every night (Stéphanie even knows how to cook incredible vegan dishes!) and a daily routine of having a glass of wine and a chat by the outdoor pool before dinner. The house is newly built and decorated tastefully. The guest room is huge and comfortable and despite being a bigger family everything runs smoothly and peacefully. I really loved every day of my stay and can only recommend other future guests to stay here!

The room is very spacious and nice with a skylight. Stéphanie is a wonderful cook and the family is very hospitable. I would highly recommend staying with this lovely traditional french family to be able to experience the complete package of Bordeaux; the Culture, the Language, and the city. it is close to the tram so getting anywhere is very easy.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
