    1. I didn't get the room I was expecting, with a private bathroom. The room had a sink and shower, but the toilet was up a few stairs up the hall.
    2. I never got the breakfast.
    3. Only the son came and went, a busy student. His mother was never there.
    4. Not exactly "homey", more like a college dorm.
    5. The house was cold and I had to sleep in my clothes. I also caught a cold.
    6. It's in a suburb of Paris, with the train station being a 10 min walk away. Transportation into Paris is not that easy nor fun, with all the workers. Better to be in Paris. Also, there was a train strike as well.
    7. Arthur did help me by printing out my boarding pass to go home and reserved an Uber to pick me up and take me to the airport.

I really wish that I could give this place a good review!! I rate it bad and not horrible because it did have a bed, good storage, and hot water!
I should have 'run' when the address, email, phone number were all incorrect in the listing. I should have 'run' when the owner stated that she would be out of the country during our stay. It was so bad that we left to find another place and wished that we had left earlier.
It is fairly far from center of Paris - 3 stops on a suburban train from St. Lazare station. it took us almost ½ hour each way to come and go here each day.
The rooms were dirty - the toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in quite a while. We were provided with clean sheets and pillowcases, but made the bed ourselves. The one towel each were old (but clean - at least on the first day!) and we re-used them each day - hoping that they had dried overnight so that we didn't have to use a wet towel. The bed was adequate and the pillows were very hard. There was a lot of storage.
The toilet was not in the room, but the shower and sink were.
One item that my wife was concerned about, and was informed was available (hairdryer), was finally 'found' after two days.
We came home one night after dark - around 11 pm): the walk from the station was dark (no streetlights and no shops open), no porch light. It was 'uncomfortable' since we did not know the neighborhood and it was our second time navigating these streets.
After getting the key to work in the door from the street: you can walk through dirt, ducking overgrown plants, and past trash and empty beer bottles to get to the house entry: "Welcome!"
There is a fan in the room and the weather was cool for our stay.
We finally left a couple of days early to find another place (we wished that we had left earlier).
The owner we never met, and the son we only saw a couple of times all week - but we did hear him a few times with his friends in the middle of the night.
Unfortunately we cannot recommend this to others. We had hoped to have an experience staying with a Parisian in their home for a more homey experience (Homestay!). It was not even remotely what we expected.

I loved my stay here! These two were extremely helpful with anything that I needed and I enjoyed spending time with them in addition to my daily trips into Paris. Their house is located in a great spot where you can be close to the city, yet still experience the more typical French neighborhood. The room has plenty of space and they truly open up the house to you. I highly recommend staying with them and hope I can return! Thanks guys!

Christine and Arthur are the most wonderful hosts! Their home is inviting and comfortable. I loved the private room and bath and the view of the garden from the room. They are so helpful in sorting out all the details of travels and providing suggestions for how to do things. It is was easy to walk to and use the train to get in and out of Paris. I visited museums, Printemps, the gardens of Giverny and lots of other fun things easily accessing the metro in Paris. My little dog Henry Matisse is traveling with me and he was welcomed by them. He loved staying here as well and enjoyed the garden, too, as well as the cute neighborhoods where we took a lot of walks. I highly recommend a stay with Christine and Arthur! I am so grateful to know them now!

You will absolutely love your stay with Christine. The room is very big, comfortable and spacious, it has a private bathroom, and you have a great view of their garden from your room. Very near the metro which will take you all over Paris. Christine is great, speaks fluent English and of course is very knowledgeable about France and Paris. I loved my stay there.
