Laura is a host who deserves your upmost respect and gratitude for all the effort and time she expends. Not only does she give numerous tips on what to see in Paris, she shares her beautiful home and remarkable life with someone who appears on her doorstep as a stranger, yet leaves feeling like a friend. Thank you, Laura, for your kindness, your care and your great sense of humour. (And please give each of your pups a cuddle from me. Those chihuahuas are adorable!)
In the City of Lights, to coin a phrase, Laura stands out as a veritable shooting star - bright, knowledgeable, attentive - but, unlike the celestial version, this one never fades. She can always be relied upon to be there for her guests, perfectly willing, if so desired, to offer advice and information on a host of topics. Her adorable chihuahuas, and cat, complete a memorable household. Highly recommended for just about anyone who loves Paris or who would like to know it better.
In the city of light, Laura is truly a shining star. I felt very welcome in her home and she did everything to make my stay comfortable and my sightseeing and traveling easier. She provided guidance when I needed it on how to use the transportation system, how to make calls within the EU and to the US, where to eat in her area, how to get a SIM card, what is particularly interesting about some tourist areas, secrets of Paris, safety in Paris etc etc. In other words, Laura is really there for her guests when you need her. I love Paris and had a wonderful vacation and stay at Laura's home. She is located close to several bus stops and metro stations and restaurants. Grocery stores are also a quick walk for anything you may need. I felt safe at night in the area. I would definitely stay with Laura again and maybe even take some French lessons with her since she is fluent in English and French and has teaching experience! I had a wonderful experience and her well behaved, quiet little dogs were a plus! So adorable and sweet.
If I have to choose the best decision I made during this trip, it would definitely be the decision to stay at Laura's home. Laura was so welcoming, providing all the information that I need during my trip to Paris including the nice plans considering my age was 20. She also rented me a book about Paris which helped me a lot. I also had a chance to spend some nice evenings with Laura, and actually, those evenings even made me wanted to come home early.
The room was so comfortable, I could see the blue sky through the window, which I thought it was very special. Including the room, the house was totally gorgeous, it was like a museum to me with wonderful gardens. The house was very close to the Eiffel tower and some tourist sights and 5 minutes walking from the metro station. Also, Chihuahuas were so lovely and friendly too. I felt I was exactly at home, thanks to Laura, and I'm not going to forget those memories.
Highly recommendable for younger aged people, and solo travelers.
Lovely lady, can't do enough for her guests. Laura has heaps of valuable information about Paris that I found very helpfull.
The room is clean and comfortable, located just a short walk to the Eiffle Tower.
If you want to learn French, Laura will provide lessons to suite and is an excellent tutor.
My stay at Laura's was wonderful! She is a generous, friendly and caring person and really made me feel at home.
Laura gave me so many invaluable local tips and information that only a Parisian would know, and she was happy to share them in order to ensure my time in Paris was as enjoyable as possible.
Her family of gorgeous little chihuahuas were also a delight to get to know.
Thanks again Laura for a unique stay in your home I'll never forget!
One of the kindest, helpful and welcoming person I’ve ever met in my life. Laura was amazing from start to finish. Not only did she assist me with my everyday needs as far as getting around Paris ,but she also helped me work through some personal issues that have been plaguing me for some time. She is a truly special person and I will never forget her.
Laura was a kind, welcoming, and caring host. Despite having suffered a recent injury, Laura ensured that I had a comfortable stay in her home. Highly recommend for a solo traveler who enjoys good conversation and/or a first-time visitor who wants some guidance on how to explore the city.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Laura. She was kind, generous and delightful to talk to. We spent a few evenings together and she got me hooked on the French TV Series Versailles. Thank you for everything, Laura.
I spent a lovely 3 days (far too short) chez Laura. If you are interested in improving your conversational French, or becoming better acquainted with French culture, or just being given clear, practical advice on the best places to visit in Paris (depending on your interests), then Laura is always happy to oblige. As a result, I spent a very profitable few days exploring the Left Bank and then enjoying the conversations to be had at the end of the day. And to sit at ease in Laura's tranquil, beautiful, little garden as the evening drew to a close was bliss indeed. Highly recommended!
