My partner Jean-Pierre and I have a traditional Gascon home in the heart of the Madiran wine region which we have gradually renovated and restored. You are surrounded by stuning countryside with rolling hills vines and sunflowers as far as the eye can see.
We are situated in a village which has all you need including a bar, bakers, small grocery, pharmacy and even a pool in the summer.
We have a twin room available which has its own bathroom. There is also a separate kitchen and lounge area which you are welcome to use. We have a small pool and there is a large terrace with BBQ which you can use.
We have three dogs, varying numbers of chickens and a very large pot bellied pig.
The area is very rural. The nearest bus stop is in Riscle (8km) from us which is on the Tarbes/ Mont de Marsan route, so a car would be ideal, but we are very happy to collect you from Riscle, Barcelone de Gers or Garlin.
I speak english and French and Jean-Pierre is french and speaks reasonable Spanish.
We enjoy welcoming guests from all over the world into our home. I provide a light breakfast and am happy to offer evening meals at extra cost, especially in the summer when we do plenty of BBQs!
There is lots going on and plenty to see in the region and we are only 90mins from the heart of the Pyrenees, the coast and Spain, but you will need your own transport to make the most of it.
Additional Info
We have off road parking behind the house. Please make sure the garden gate is closed after you, otherwise Clara may decide to go for a stroll and you could be the one trying to fetch her back!!

About the Area
Our house is located in the village, 5 mins walk from the amenties.
We are about an hour from Pau and Tarbes and 2 hours from Toulosue and Bordeaux.
The closet bus stop is in Riscle about 8km from us. We are happy to collect you from Riscle, Barcelone du Gers, Garlin and Nogaro.

Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
There is a separate entrance for guests so please come and go as you please, but lock the door and gate when you leave.
Feel free to use the kitchen and lounge areas, but please remember that there may be other guests wanting to use it too, so please clean up afterwards.
Smoking is allowed, but only outside and please use the ashtrays provided rather than leaving the butts for the animals to find.
If you would like to use the washing machine, please ask in advance.
If you need anything just ask.

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
