Berlin, Prenzlauer Berg: for those of you who have already been in the ‘hood, you know that we enjoy the most beautiful Altbau houses, born centuries ago. Big spaces, high ceilings, wide boarded wooden floors, bright spacious bathrooms, balconies like nests on top of trees. Yes, this comes from a Berlin Prenzlauer Berg enthusiast, but the area speaks for itself; beautiful streets, cafes with character, little shops and green squares next to bars, restaurants with kitchens from all over the world, hidden clubs and yoga spaces. Name the trend, you will find it here, co-existing with the everlasting youth of one of the oldest and most beautiful neighborhoods in Europe.
I live in a spacious apartment on the forth floor, flooded with light from both north and south, warm and cosy, but stylish and with room to breath, rest, dream. It was renovated 2 years ago with care for the old elements, and all the modern details that make everyday life so comfortable. I work mostly at home, in a beautiful living room which I am happy to share with you when my schedule permits. I have a relaxed routine, so in the mornings you will probably have the bathroom only to yourselves, since I start my day later and keep going till the evening. I love having people around (been living on my own for a long time) even if I hardly see them due to different schedules. I am very happy in my flat and in my city, and I am always willing to share information, and let you in to some of the nicest and coolest tips for food, free time activities, sight seeing etc.
You will have a magnificent bed (I have the testimonies to prove it, trust me you will sleep like a baby), your own balcony in the sun where you can enjoy your breakfast or an evening drink, a big, very chic wardrobe with big mirrors and lights, a (bed-)couch and a little table if you need to do any work.
The S-Bahn is a few minutes away, the Tram as well, and it will take you to Alexanderplatz in minutes - even the subway is in walking distance (or you can take the S-Bahn for one station).
The street is quiet but the the first cafe is literally at the corner, and from there on, you can find anything you please.

About the Area
The S-Bahn (Ringbahn too) is just a few minutes away, at the end of the street and on the Prenzlauer Allee. There are two supermarkets at theat same corner, one of them a Biological one. The Tram M2 also runs from the Prenzlauer Allee, and it will take you to Alexanderplatz in minutes, even the subway (U2) is in walking distance (or you can take the S-Bahn for one station to the Schönhauser Allee, where is a big shopping center on top of it).
The street is quiet but the the first cafe is literally at the corner, and from there on, you can find anything you please.

House Rules
FOR SMOKERS: you can use the balcony, as long as you keep the balcony door closed, so no smoke comes into the room.
Please pay attention not to scratch the floors with heavy suitcases (they can be cruel sometimes. ;) )
I would also like to ask you to leave the common areas clean and tidy :)

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
