About the Area

The apartment is on a quiet square in trendy and arty Friedrichshain district, just a few minutes walking distance from all the fun and important infrastructure:
- train station Ostbahnhof
- regional train (S-Bahn) Warschauer Straße
- clubs and alternative culture in the RAW area
- cafés and restaurants along touristy Simon-Dach-Straße
- flea markets at beautiful Boxhagener Platz (weekends only)
- several shops and supermarkets (one of them open 24h, but all closed on Sundays)

Also some major tourist sights are nearby, including a long part of the Berlin Wall called East Side Gallery, with many famous graffiti. Alternative and multicultural Kreuzberg district is across the river, a few minutes by bike. Same distance is Mitte, the historical center with most museums, landmarks and government buildings.

House Rules

The guest room is for max 4 persons. You will share the living room/kitchen, the terrace and the two bathrooms with us. The rooms' capacity is based on the assumption that 2 persons share a big mattress. We provide fresh linen and towels. In your room, there is a double mattress on the floor, and another one in a cozy cave-like elevated surface just below the ceiling, which you reach by climbing a ladder.

You are welcome to use all the apartment's equipment: Wi-Fi, dish-washer, kitchen ware, washing machine. There is no dryer and no TV. If you cook, please do the dishes afterwards.

Please be nice and considerate towards our neighbors.

Our apartment is vegetarian, so we ask guests not to bring any meat or meat products. (There is a vegan supermarket around the corner - a great place to stock up on tofu sausages!)

We ask all guests to take off their shoes.

Smoking is not permitted in the flat.

Let's do our share to save the planet (and money): Please help saving energy and water. So please don't turn the heating on and open the windows at the same time, and turn the lights off when leaving a room.

Smoking Rules

Your host is a non-smoker.

Smoking is allowed outdoors only.

How do I book?

Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.

When do I pay?

Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.

When can I share my contact details?

Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
