Situated two train stops from the city center and a mere eight minutes from the Cologne Cathedral, you will be sleeping in our garden room, with kitchen access and living room access as well as private toilet as well as a full bathroom one flight up.

Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

House Rules
Late check-in (arrival after 22:00 at our door) will be charged with Euro 20 the first night; this cash payment is due the day after your arrival.
We are levied 5% "bed tax" to the city of Cologne on your stay, as well as 19% Value Added Tax (VAT) - both come out of the money we receive from your booking. Orange88 is an insured and registered business licensed to operate in Cologne.
We will not accept bookings for guests under the age of 18. If in doubt, we will need proof with a valid document showing the birthday, even if you were referred to us by individuals, other hotels or hosting sites.
There is a surcharge of EUR 10 per accompanied child, even if staying in the same bed as the parents/relatives. We have no additional crib or bed. Nota bene: There are two beds in the room which cannot join to make one bed.
We can wash your laundry for Euro 8 a load; we'll operate the washing machine, and hang your clothes to dry (without warranty for discoloration, damage, shrinking, or stain removal)!
We ask for a key deposit of $88 due our custom-built Swiss lock (in the entrance door) as its keys cannot be copied, and the whole lock set may need to be changed in case of lost keys.
Again, this is a non-smoker, pet-free, private property! If you absolutely need to smoke, please not on our grounds, but only curbside on the street!
In our home, we're conscious about our environment; we recycle and are careful using resources, specifically water and electricity! We kindly request that you remember we need to pay for utilities, perhaps a much higher price than you yourself would in your home town. Turn off lights when leaving your room and close the doors to keep the temperature while we heat!
We ask that you absolutely respect our privacy in the upstairs floors/rooms where we reside, and not enter any other rooms than the shared bathroom. If you need to see us, you have a phone number where to reach us anytime 24/7.
Despite of the fact that we only rent one room, there may be, from time to time, friends staying in our private guest room upstairs. Please bear that in mind when using the bath tub, or shower or facilities. We will introduce you to anyone staying in our house.
We are a non-smoker, pet free property, except for the birds outside!
By the way, if you could take off your shoes and use our house shoes when moving around the house, that would be much appreciated!

Es war sehr nett und angenehm bei Wolfgang. Das Zimmer ist sehr ruhig, freundlich eingerichtet und sauber. Ich konnte sehr gut schlafen. Beim Frühstück hatten wir eine angeregte Unterhaltung und ich habe von Wolfgang viele interessante Besichtigungstipps zu Köln bekommen, die ich leider aus Zeitgründen nicht wahrnehmen konnte.
Die S-Bahn Station ist nur wenige Gehminuten vom Haus entfernt und braucht nur ca. 5 Min. bis zum Hauptbahnhof.
Gerne bin ich wieder Wofgangs Gast, wenn sich die Gelegenheit ergibt und empfehle ihn allen meinen Freunden weiter.

A very hospitable host and made us feel very welcome. He checked several things out for us including taxi and train to airport. Well situated for train station straight into city. Our room was lovely and cool on the ground floor with garden view . Wolfgang had made sure I had the extra pillow I requested for my neck. Thete were bottles of water for us in the room and told us to ask if we needed anything else However to access the toilet from the room you had to walk through kitchen to hallway.
We all sat down to breakfast together which was rather nice .A good variety homemade jams, bread, yoghurt meats boiled eggs etc. .A very good host.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
