What is the cancellation policy?

You can cancel a booking prior to arrival but please note, as per the terms and conditions you agree to on booking, the online booking fee that you paid as part of your booking is non-refundable. 

In exceptional circumstances we will consider a refund of this booking fee. This is completely at the discretion of Homestay.com. To cancel a booking, send an email to cancellations@homestay.com

In the event the host cancels your booking, we will refund your booking fee paid online. Please note that due to fluctuating foreign exchange rates and other possible banking charges, the company cannot be held responsible for any difference between the amount paid and the amount refunded.

Some hosts (depending on country and currency) avail of our Deposit Payment option. If you book with these hosts, you must pay 25% of the booking price and the 15% booking fee to confirm the booking.  If you cancel less than 7 days in advance, the 25% deposit payment is made to the host 2 business days after your scheduled arrival date. For a refund of this deposit payment, cancellation must be made at least 7 full days prior to arrival. However, as per the terms and conditions you agree to on booking, the booking fee that you paid is non-refundable.
