We live in an amazing house built by my father - breathtakingly beautiful, and have the top room to spare. Just off the main road into the locality (a quieter part of Gurugram, India), our home is ensconced in greenery and the top room is almost hidden from the road. Yet it is open on 3 sides to balconies and a private terrace that opens on to the green spaces, and allows air and sunlight to stream in.
The bedroom (with en-suite kitchenette) is fairly large (16'x21') with 2 single beds and a day bed, 2 computer-work tables with chairs, a sideboard, a dressing table with stool, 2 wardrobes (lockable). You can sit out on the terrace that has loungers and chairs. En-suite bathroom.
The host will put you in touch with the laundry service (home collection and delivery) and you will pay directly to the laundry person. Clothes iron & access to washing machine available on chargeable basis. Wi-fi, TV, AC/room heater, power back-up and hair-dryer included. Vegetarian light breakfast is included in the tariff. Kitchenette is equipped with induction cooktop, water filter (water for drinking & cooking), electric kettle, fridge and toaster, plus basic cooking and eating utensils-crockery-cutlery.
The residence is well-connected with several eateries (Indian as well as Pizza hut, McDonald's, Subway, Cafe Coffee Day, Haldiram, etc.), ATMs, shopping malls, cinemas, medical (including hospitals - Columbia Asia being the nearest) - all at walking distance. The airport is just 20 minutes away.
We are a family of 2 - my mom who is a poetess, and myself, a facilitator of self-change and integrating spirituality in daily life. Languages spoken: English & Hindi, smattering of French, and a few regional languages of India.
Awaahan homestay is licensed by Ministry of Tourism (Government of India).

20 minutes from Airport, 8 kms off the National Highway 8, close to Delhi-Gurugram border. In a quiet ambience without sacrificing connectivity. Uber is an easy call to make, besides local tuk-tuk and cycle rickshaws. Metro stations & Main bus stands too are close by.

House Rules
We are happy to have you with us. We hope that you will appreciate staying here and will come again. There are a few simple rules that we request you to observe, to help us maintain the serenity, beauty, hygiene and organisation of the place.
GENERAL
This is a vegetarian, non-smoking, alcohol and drug-free home. We would appreciate that you respect the same. You may smoke inside your room, if necessary. Please do not cook, prepare, bring or consume non-vegetarian food in the premises (eggs are fine).
Be mindful: About your use of all items in the room (suitcase stands are provided for your luggage, and a clothes-stand (outside) for wet towels and clothes). About switching off electrical appliances (geyser, heater/air conditioner, fan, lights etc.) when not in use. About your belongings : )
Help us maintain the aesthetics, cleanliness and serenity of the place. Parties and noisy activities not encouraged. Access to other parts of the house, and the neighbouring house is restricted.
While we are happy to host you, we would appreciate your discussing with the host in advance should you need to invite a guest to meet you. Should you need to go out or come in between 10 pm and 6 am, please coordinate with the host.
FOOD
Breakfast (light, vegetarian) shall be served in the room between 8.30am and 10.00am. Preferred timings and choice (if any) must be communicated to the host by 5pm the previous evening. Please also inform in advance of dietary restrictions, if any.
Tea-bags, Milk & Coffee sachets are available in the room on a complimentary basis. The room has a water filter for drinking water.
The room has a kitchenette with induction, fridge, basic cooking ware, crockery & cutlery. Please cook, prepare and consume vegetarian food only (eggs are fine too).
Washing the utensils, keeping the kitchen clean and segregating waste in the kitchen bins is your responsibility. 2 waste bins are provided (organic, inorganic waste) - these will be emptied daily by Awaahan staff.
Take-Away Menu file provided in the room to order home delivery (vegetarian only). Keep in mind the gate closing timings please.
LAUNDRY – Contact number provided for you to order and pay directly to the laundry service (will come to pick up & deliver). Iron available on request.
HOT WATER for bathing comes from the geyser (in the bathroom). Switch it on at least 30-60 minutes before your bath. Do remember to switch it off when not required.
HOUSEKEEPING between 9.30 and 11.30am. Should you want towels replaced, put the used ones in the laundry basket in the bathroom (separate from your personal items). Towels are changed twice a week. Bed linen is changed for each new guest and also once every week for guests staying longer. Any change of towels or bed linen more frequent than stipulated will be on chargeable basis.
CHECKING OUT
- Check-out time is 11.00 am.
- Your feedback and suggestions are important. Do write these out in the Guest Register, as well as post them online (if you have registered through a portal).
- Remember to deposit the keys while checking out.
- Your appreciation of the service provided by the staff is most welcome. However, please do not tip directly. Leave your contribution in a sealed envelope (provided) with the Host (or representative).
Not accessible for pets. Ideal guest age - 15 and above.
PAYMENT: Once you confirm the booking with Homestay.com, you need to deposit the balance amount in advance with us through PayPal.
Cancellation Policy for amounts remitted directly to Awaahan Homestay in advance (not via or to Homestay.com): Full refund for cancellations made within 48 hours of booking, if the check-in date is at least 14 days away. 50% refund for cancellations made at least 7 days before check-in. No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of check-in.
Smoking is allowed indoors.

Amazing!!! That's all i can sum up my stay at Awaahan. It is a Oasis in the middle of concrete jungle of Gurugram. Although i met with the host very briefly, but everything was organised meticulously. I was taken very good care by Arun in absence of Ms Anuradha. I would walk again at stay at Awaahan at very first opportunity. The house is located very conveniently to your local needs as well as transportation requirement (close to airport, railway station and highway). I had a memorable stay! Thank you Ms Anuradha.

Little Far from Delhi. but Very Nice & Clean Place to Stay in Gurugram. Anuradha Madam is Very Co operative & helping Nature. We enjoyed our homestay in this place. Again Very Superb.

I just loved my stay at awaahan, its really a beautiful place, well organised and adequately equipped. I am a hygiene conscious and cleanliness freak person that I might have troubles while staying at 5 star hotels either but I had no question about anything at awaahan. Anuradha is a great host, she is very attentive and caring. Morning breakfast was healthy and tasteful, staff was also very helpful. I appreciate the greenery they have maintained around, the area is peaceful and plush, I would love to come again and again !

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 199 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
