We are a small family; I live with my husband, daughter and two pet. We want to rent our house as vacation rental.
It is made by mud and bamboo, sitting at the foot of the mighty Dhauladhar mountains in the lush green Kangra Valley. This compact & cozy house made of local materials is in sync with nature and surroundings. Indoors include a kitchen, living room and bedroom There is ample common space to sit, work, meditate or relax with a book. This area is known for easy, picturesque walks among the hills, grasslands or farms. The tea town Palampur is just a 20 minutes drive away.

About the Area
This area is known for easy, picturesque walks among the hills, grasslands or farms. The location is also popular for treks of varying intensity and is a haven for bird watchers for its variety of birds. That nearby stream is a favorite haunt of kids and adults during hot summers days. Winters offer scenic snow clad mountains approached within half an hour walk. The rain soaked hills and gurgling streams during the misty monsoons are an experience in itself. Daily needs market and the Kand Bari village are just a short walk away.

House Rules
Welcome to ira’s warm mud house.
-Quiet hours : 11 PM to 6 AM
-Check in time between 12 noon to 10 pm
-Check out by 10AM
-On arrival, guests must have a valid Govt. issued identification document.
- This is a home, where guests can stay short term or long term. Please don’t expect any room service or luggage service. Don’t drag anything on the mud flooring, pls treat it as your own home!
-Strictly no smoking inside the rooms/ bathrooms. You may smoke in the balcony/ garden & dispose of the cigarettes responsibly (ask us).
- Any damage to the property caused by the guest will be charged as per the actual cost of repair or replacement.
- Consuming or carrying any kind of illegal drugs is strictly prohibited in the house.
- Long term guests have to pay for cleaning fee @ Rs. 300 for these mandatory services provided once every four days. In case you're not able to clean on a daily basis, we shall do it at an additional charge of Rs. 100 per day. Washing/laundry would be charged extra as per the applicable rates.
- Daily House keeping, bonfire arrangements, cooking support , laundry services are available on demand at additional cost.
-All guests must be able to share valid ID proofs when asked. This could be at the time of booking, and also upon arrival.
- All foreign nationals must be able to share their passport and visa details prior to their arrival.
- Any illegal activity is strictly not permitted.
- A refundable deposit will be collected before check-in. This entire amount is refunded at their check-out time, provided the total number of guests does not increase and the check-out time is adhered to.
Covid care:-
- Pls wash hands/ shower immediately after you check in.
- A negative valid test report is mandatory to stay in-house.
- Avoid going out as much as you can, go for walks in the jungle, but avoid public gatherings for your + our safety.

Please do not treat this like a hotel or a cheaper alternative.
Guests are earnestly requested to treat the home with care.

Your host is a non-smoker.
Smoking is allowed outdoors only.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
