My homestay called Mettaloka is my parent's villa. My mother is a novelist and also spiritualist. We wake up 5 a.m every morning, doing meditation, typing fresh idea for a new novel, and then planting and gardening. Cleaning some weeds and sniffing the fresh soil, go to the traditional market and meet a decrepit monger are a few relaxing things.
Our homestay is around 2 km from Borobudur Temple, traditional market, and bus station. You can also visit upon tourist village, sunrise look-out, and many kind of artisans such as bamboo, tofu, wood mask, batik, and traditional dancer. We have unique architecture and nice garden too. Sunbathing while looking up Menoreh Hill are such wonderful experience.
You can stay here without afraid spending a lot of money. The longer you stay, cheaper you pay. Actually, we have 11 bedrooms with private bathroom including wifi free access and breakfast. You can choose it appropriately with your budget. If you feel lazy to go out side, you can cook with us or just taste our local food. Yummy!

About the Area
Mettaloka Guest House is located 1 km on the southeast of Borobudur Temple, around 2 km from Borobudur Bus Station.
Our homestay is situated in Wanurejo tourist village and many kind artisant, such as bamboo, tofu, wood mask, and batik. In the evening you can hear the beautiful sound of nature.
The homestay consist of 8 unit spacious suite, wide Java Mansion (Pendopo), and open stage. You can also enjoy direct scenery of Menoreh Hill and the green fields. We also have unique architecture and beautiful garden and exterior as the art taste of the owner.
We are doing meditation every morning and/or evening, therefore you can join and learning together freely, if you interested.

No vandalism within the guest house. Breaking or losing every property within the guest house, you are obliged to replace them with cash equally to that properties’s value.

We really appreciated the room. It was clean and nice. The host are very open minded and available for discussion. We also had the chance to discover several plants of the garden. It is very close from the temples so we warmly recomend it !!

This homestay has been awesome. With a very friendly staff, who helped us all the time to know where and how to go. Very attentive people always taking care of us.
They rent us a motorbike, very helpful by the way.
Tha place was very nice, clean and comfortable and the garden and the whole homestay was wonderful.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
