Sabirin was an amazing host. I booked initially only one night with a friend after coming down from the mount rinjani track to chill out. In the end we stayed 2 nights as we felt so welcomed. His wife cooked amazing traditional food so much we couldn't finish it and his kids were playing around and super interested in speaking some English with us. If you really want to experience how locals live, go to Sabirin: the next day he should us around the rice, tobacco, bean, tomato and chili fields. The beautiful rice terraces and every production step were cool to see. It is just so authentic, nothing compared to those tours you can get in Bali. The highlight of the day was a ride to a traditional stick fighting event in the nearest town. Hasim, a friend of Sabirin drove us (best and most careful driver we have seen by far) and we had a blast. At the end the locals convinced me and my friend to fight for fun and suddenly we were surrounded by 50 locals supporting our small fight. I have never expected to have so much fun there. The next day the host asked if we want to have lunch so we went to his yard and pulled some fish out of his water reservoir :D. His kids helped us with the worms and one hour later we enjoyed another outstanding meal. I cannot describe the warmth and friendliness of all those people we met in 2 days but I can confirm the lombok saying that Severin told us. He said "our guests are the kings".
