INTERACTION WITH THE GUEST

This lovely house is belong to my second cousin. I will be more than happy if you want me to come and share my knowledge about Ubud and Bali.

THINGS TO NOTE:
Staying in Ubud is about experiencing its rich cultural ambiance. You can get that by staying in Jero Pangkung Homestay. This Balinese family compound has everything you need to learn Balinese culture. The house belongs to Gusti Putu Oka, a famous traditional music player who trained the Sekar Jaya Orchestra – a US based Balinese Culture lovers group.

If you are interested in learning how to play Balinese instrument, we will be more than happy to teach you.

Not like a beach holiday, visiting Ubud is not just visiting the place but also visiting the people. If you are interested in seeing the real Ubud with its rich culture, we are more than happy to assist. Cooking class, offering making lesson or morning walk trekking are some options that you can do with local.

Live like a local with touch of luxury in the villa. Rice field is within walking distance. Morning walk to the rice field is a great option.

Balinese generally are very welcome, so when you walk they will greet you with their best smile.

In daily basis Balinese gives offering to the God but in some days where ceremony happens, you will see beautiful people in Balinese traditional cloth walking in the village to go to the temple.

GETTING AROUND:
Depends on your holiday type, if you plan to be in the villa most of the time and enjoy the local surrounding and live like local, you may walk around and see the real Bali in this village. If you plan to explore the island during your stay, for mobility you may rent a car or scooter:

- Car with a driver is like IDR 700,000 for 8 hours (Considered as full day charter ) or IDR 400,000 for 4 hours (Considered as half day)

- Scooter is like IDR 55,000/day.
Riding scooter for first timer is little bit challenging in Bali because people are careless on the street. So hire a driver is a better option in this case.
