I lived for 4 months with Sean, Julia and Murphy. Ideal house to live during a long period in Cork, very nice, helpful, careful and talktive hosts, confortable house, delightful fireplace. Very well located if you study at university of Cork and possibility to park a cycle in the courtyard! I extented my stay with Sean and Julia for 5 months as I study the full year at Cork.
my name is Marius and lived nearly 4 months by Sean.
On the whole it was a great experience. Sean & Julia are very friendly and polite, it was a nice atmosphere. They even cook sometimes for you!
Furthermore the location of the house is very good, only 10 - 15 minutes to the City Centre and there are several bus stations around the corner.
For the small room I got it was quite expensive...so the price-performance ratio is at is lowest but that`s Cork, you will not find a cheap accomodation.
As well I had severall discussions with Sean about the use of the heating because in autumn/winter it is cold in Ireland and you could only use the heating when Sean switched it up.
Nevertheless I can highly recommend Sean & Julia because beside all the benefits of the good location of the house and so on they are so nice people and I think that is the most important thing when you go to a guest family. You just have to like them!
If you are looking for a home away from home, there is no better choice than Sean and Julia’s warm and cosy place at a lovely neighbourhood in the heart of the Cork city. This had been my home for the last 8 months - and I have enjoyed every moment spent here. Sean and Julia are one of the kindest, most helpful and most lovable duo that you will find and they have a handsome young Westie named Murphy! Such a delight being greeted by him :) Numerous scrumptious dinners by the fireplace while watching Telly, interesting tales over weekend brunches - it’s a perfect family setup with your space when you need it. I am so happy that I decided to come here. You will be too. :)
Mandatory choice for everyone who's planning to stay for a while in Cork! Huge thanks for everything during my stay and kind regards from the Basque Country!
This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
Thank Julia and Sean so much for these four months. It's really a great experience in Cork. I really feel like in home. Thank again for concerning and good care. And also a wonderful memory for Christmas!
I only find good and positive words to describe my stay with Sean's family. They are very helpful, kind and warm family. They make you feel that you are in your own home. The place is clean, well maintained and it has all the comforts. It's 15 min from city centre by walk. If you are looking for a place to stay in Cork, do not look for another one, you have found it. :)
Sean and Julia were a lovely family to live among them and to Cork. They are very welcoming and warm. The house is very close to the city center as well as the stores. The house is very nice and Sean and Julia are very generous on the meals. Murphy, the little dog is also a lovely.
I loved my stay in this house with Sean, Julia and Murphy.
I recommend them to everybody. Thank you very much for all !!
Very nice house, not far from the center.
Giulia and Sean are very kind and they helped me in many occasions!
A place to feel at home, highly recommended =)
