About the Homestay
We are a busy family of 4 and we have friendly little dog and cat. We live in the lively village of Ranelagh, just 15 mins by tram to St Stephens Green. In Ranelagh, you will find an abundance of cafes, pubs and restaurants just minutes from our home. The room we offer is a large bright room with a double bed for one or two people. There is a bathroom right next door. It is situated at the top of our house so there are stairs. We are very much a family home but we enjoy meeting new people and look forward welcoming guests to our city.

We have a bus stop nearby also which connects with the city centre. Ranelagh is a leafy suburb close to Dublin City Centre with lots of parks nearby. Very beautiful home for a very beautiful experience. Joan and her family are very welcoming. They will explain you in detail the possibilities on how to spent the holidays. The home is located in a typical irish neighborhood with the famous doors of Dublin and it is very funny to visit it. It's easy to reach the home by tram from the city center. You'll have the maximum liberty on the matter of timetables: you'll have the key and you can decide when go out or come back with the due respect for the tenants.

Really lovely .
Spending 2 weeks in Joan's home was fabulous. It was not only a wonderful accommodation in the private room, but an incredible opportunity to know how an Irish family lives, and the best one was how nice and kind all of them were even Sparky and Connie. Thanks Joan for everything!!!!
We spent 3 wonderful days at Joan’s. Joan and her family were very welcoming, kind and we had a really great time there. Her house is near Dublin center and at a perfect place with all the commodities near by. The bedroom and the bathroom are great. If we’ll go back in Dublin (and for sure we’ll come back to the city, Joan’s place is a very good choice to stay.
Thank you again for your welcoming, the advices you gave us and I hope we’ll see you soon.
Best wishes, Clemence&stephane
I had a great stay with Joan and the family. The house is beautiful and very welcoming. I was easily able to walk into the city centre and there is also a Luas stop just a few minutes walk away. The room is large and comfortable, and an added bonus is the bathroom to yourself next door. I would highly recommend this Homestay and would love to stay here again! Many thanks
Elegant house, kind and friendly landlady! A place easy to reach with a lovely atmosphere.
I had a really great stay with Joan. She and her family are very kind and welcoming. The house is beautiful and accommodation was bright, airy, spacious, clean and modern, as well as being very private on the top floor. Toiletries and towels were provided and the choice offered for complementary breakfast was excellent. Ranelagh is a safe and quiet area with Dublin city centre a short journey away on the tram; the tram stop is a two minute walk from the house. Communication with Joan before and during my visit was very easy. A great homestay for solo female travellers.
We had a great stay with Joan and her family. The room is lovely and it was nice to have a private bathroom right next to it. The house was in a quiet residential neighbourhood. The area was great for us as close to LUAS and bus so easy to get around Dublin (we got a LEAP visitor pass). It was also within walking distance to the RDS and near to restaurants and shops. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay here again if back in Dublin.
