Hello my name is Dee and I live in Goatstown with my husband and three kids. Ava 20 Theo 18and Hugo 16. We have 2 dogs Bonnie and Harry. Our house is newly refurbished and cozy and very near the city.
Goatstown has benefits from a host of amenities to include a wide selection of shops, restaurants, and bars as well as being very close to STILLORGAN, Dublin Accademy and University College of Dublin, UCD, at Belfield. There is also a wide range of leisure and sporting facilities in close proximity to include Deerpark and David Lloyd’s Tennis and Fitness Club. Dundrum Town Centre, Sandyford and Stillorgan villages are all close by including the Beacon hospital Sandyford.
Public transport facilities are well catered for with regular bus services outside our gate and the local LUAS station. The N11 and M50 are also easily accessible.
For extended periods the guests will be allowed to use the kitchen. Please confirm with us first. Breakfast not included in one night stay but cafe beside us and shops.

About the Area
Our house is beside local shops , pubs , post office and hairdressers. It is 8 minutes walk to the Luas. Bus stop is outside the door which takes you direct to the City. Restaurants and pubs all around. The 11 bus is the number to take. We are very close to DUNDRUM Shopping Centre which is one of the biggest shopping centre in Ireland . It is 15 minutes away from the Aviva stadium which hosts matches and concerts. We are also very close to UCD University and the Dublin Academy of Education in Stillorgan.
Meals
Hosts can offer a complimentary light breakfast at their discretion. All other meals, including a full breakfast, might incur an additional cost, if offered. Meals and any additional payment should be arranged directly with your host.

Keep noise to a minimum. Absolutely no visitors as it is a family home.
Payment Method: Please note that we require our guests to pay 50% of the booking total to us in advance of the booking to hold your room (on top of the 15% service fee is paid to Homestay.com) and the remainder is paid on arrival.
Cancellation Policy: We ask our guests to give us at least 7 days’ notice for any cancellation. Any cancellation later than this will not be refunded.”

From the get go, Dee was very welcoming. Her family was great as well. I had a very wonderful time. One week went by so fast, it was home for a week for me. My room was very big and very clean. Super big and comfy bed, the shower room was great, kitchen huge and bright. Their home was lovely and I am thankful for the time I had there. Would definitely book their home again if given the chance. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

My aunt and I stayed with Dympna for a few days last year when we travelled to Dublin. Dympna and her husband were lovely people. Both were super welcoming and helpful. The rooms were extremely comfortable, the house was quiet, and the location was great. The bus stop is about 20 steps from their gate, which was super convenient. It’s one bus into the city, or your can go to the train station a touch further away and take that straight to central Dublin. I highly recommend Dympna as a host.

Be aware that Goatstown is truly suburbia: quiet but no 'neighboorhood-vibe' / nightlife. Public transport gets you to the city centre in 30min.June 2019

It clearly states on the Homestay platform that I do not provide breakfast. This client would have known prior to arrival. She chose a deluxe double with a newly refurbished wet room beside it which was exclusive to her as all other rooms are en-suite she chose this room for €26 pp.
However as stated NO USE OF KITCHEN she made tea etc in kitchen early morning of departure after one night stayJune 2019
Open-minded and easy-going hosting couple. Beautiful and clean bathroom and bedroom (with king-size bed), tastefully furnished. Hotel standards.

My second stay with Dympna in her lovely home. Met with a warm welcome, and free to come and go without feeling like you are intruding. Very accommodating to my change of plans - thank you for that. Bedroom and bathroom large and stylish. I am sure to return.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
