Hi - my name is laura.
We are a friendly non smoking household.
We enjoy walking and going to the gym.
There are lovely coastal walks nearby and the village of raheny is a ten minute walk away. We are 30 mins by bus and 15 minutes by rail from the city centre.
I have not been hosting for a while due to covid but have been hosting students from abroad for over 15 years through local english colleges and have always received great feedback.

About the Area
Our house is in a quiet suburb only 4km from the city centre which is easily accessed by bus or dart.
We are a 20 min bus journey to DCU college, trinity college and DIT.
The dart is a 12 minute walk away and the bus is 5 mins walk. It's a 10 min walk to the village with shops, bars and restaurants.
We are within walking distance to the beach and coastal walkways of sutton and clontarf strand. Howth fishing village with its quaint little harbour and excellent seafood restaurants are a short bus or dart journey away. Malahide castle and gardens which also houses Avoca is a 15 minute dart journey or 20 minute bus ride away.
St Anne's private golf course and royal dublin private course are less than 10 mins from our house by car or you can take a stroll to them along the beach and be there in 15-20 mins. There are numerous other lovely courses within a short distance of our house.

We enjoyed a lot our stay at Laura's place first of all thanks to the hosts, very welcoming and attentive. The room is very cosy and spacious, the mattress is confortable. The house and the neighborhood are very quiet, perfect to rest. The location, north to Dublin, has a direct access to Dublin with the DART and offer the possibility to explore very easily Howth, Portmarnock and Malahide with a direct bus / DART connection.

I had an awesome time staying with Tom and Laura! Right from the beginning, they welcomed me warmly. The room was really spacious, and the bed was super comfortable. I had a fantastic week at their place, everything went smoothly. Tom and Laura were really cool, helping me out with different things like with public transportation to go to my internship. I am very happy to have met them :)

We couldn't have wished for a better host. Laura was incredibly welcoming and helpful and the room was lovely. Laura gave us lots of useful tips ranging from restaurants and cafés to activities and sights. The house is close to the local train and bus station and to the sea, so it's really perfectly situated. We will definitely come back one day!

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
