Hi, we're a friendly Irish family of myself Niamh, my husband, our 11 year old chatty, engaging daughter and our equally engaging little dog!
We live in Rathmines, Dublin 6 which is 5 mins from the Luas tram transport, bus stops almost on our doorstep and for the energetic, you can walk into Dublin City Centre in under 30 minutes!
We can provide you with a warm, Irish welcome and would love to welcome you into our family for the duration of your stay in Dublin.

About the Area
Our house is in Rathmines, Dublin 6 which is within 30mins walk of Dublin City Centre, Trinity College, Grafton St etc. On our doorstep you'll find numerous buses for exploring Dublin, restaurants, a pay as you go 25m pool and plenty of traditional Irish pubs.

A warm and devoted family that I will never forget.
I spent 3 months with Niamh, Edmund, their daughter and their funny dog and I couldn't have hoped for a better stay with a host family. Sharing, fun, freedom and discovery, thank you again for everything...
P.S. : the neighbourhood is really great, close to the city town and very well served by public transport.

I couldn't have done better during my five weeks in Dublin. Niamh, Edmund, their daughter and their dog are a super loving, open-minded and accommodating family who contribute a lot to international exchange by hosting young foreigners in Dublin. I felt very comfortable during my stay here and was able to experience Irish culture first-hand in a family. They gave me the freedom and space you want as a young person, but I was also able to integrate very well into their family life. Clean and well equipped household, most beautiful neighbourhood in Dublin, best location and wonderful family. I can only recommend booking with Niamh and Edmund! Thank you for everything!

I would definitely recommend Niamh's lovely house and amazing family ! Super warm welcome, kind and generous family, don't hesitate and book your stay in Rathmines which is a wonderful neighbourhood in Dublin with all the facilities walking distance and very close to the city center.

Niamh and her husband Edmund will go completely out of their way to make you feel welcomed, cared for and loved. Truly could not recommend this homestay more! Came to Ireland as a young student starting an internship who didn't know anyone in the country, and by the time I left, I was in tears saying goodbye to a family that treated me as one of their own. Miss them already (and the 7 year old of course )

How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
