About the Homestay
We live in a beautiful suburb of Dublin, myself a TEFL tutor, my husband Dermot, my son, Mark 27and all our furry friends. We are only 30 minutes by public transport to the City Centre. We can help arrange Language courses with the most popular schools in and around Dublin city centre. We can help you organise your trips to some of the most beautiful areas in Ireland. Our home is set in a nice estate overlooking a little park and with a view of the mountains, ideal for touring all over the East Coast (Garden of Ireland) and we are more than happy to help you arrange any excursions you may wish, plus let you know where to visit the best kept secret places, which most visitors are not aware of (lovely views, pubs and restaurants). We have a 3 bedroomed home and a lovely garden where we spend a lot of time relaxing. We have dogs and cats which we rescued from our local animal shelter (we love them completely). We also play Ten Pin Bowling and golf and I love cooking.

We have off street parking and can help you arrange language courses and hire out our bikes by prior arrangement.

Shirley and Dermot are an amazing hosts. They're so friendly and kind. They took its time to help me with all the amenities of the house and making me feel like I was in my own home. The dogs and the cats are very quiet and so affectionate that they're always looking for love. Thank you so much for being your guest
My stay with Shirley and Dermot was fantastic! They are absolutely wonderful and go above and beyond to ensure that you are comfortable and happy. I had great chats with them both - they definitely love meeting new people from all walks of life. Their home is very sweet and comfortable and only 30 minutes from central Dublin by bus. The stop is an easy 5 minute walk away. I was here for St Paddy's weekend, and they told me all the ins and outs of the city, offering great recommendations for places to visit. They were wonderful to me, despite my very late arrival from the airport and a few VERY late nights out in the city, ha! Their animals are all lovely as well. It's a shame I couldn't stay longer, but I will definitely be back for a visit in the future! Thanks again.
Very caring and helpful hosts.
Shirley and Dermot were excellent; I had a supurb stay with them. They advised me on where to go and what to do and we had very pleasant evenings talking about our lives and laughing about silly things. They took me to their favorite pub, which was a real Irish experience. Dermot excelled in his famous breakkies in the morning and I really loved their animals; I made friends for live with both them as well as with the animals. I could recommend a stay with them to everybody, because its liking being at home away from home! Their accomodations are wonderful and comfortable with a private bathroom and anything you need! Please go there and experience it yourself!
Shirley & family were the best! It was really great staying with them. I'll come back! I promiss!!!
its perfect homestay ever :) I never forget Shirley and her family and very friendly animals :) thanks for giving good memories.
Overall a very caring and hospitable family as well as very well trained pets - lovely area and very accessible for public transport - fantastic for short or long term stay - would definitely recommend this home - truly is a home away from home
I spent 6 days in this very hospitable family. Shirley, Dermot and Mark offered me a great homestay. And I felt like a member of their family.
They’ve given me many recommendations for trips and day tours in whole Ireland and have given me tips for pubs in Dublin and the area around Dublin.
During my stay we watched the Gaelic/ Irish football final and I could experience the Irish fan-culture; it was enthusiastic and great!
I’m glad to have spent my first days in Dublin with them and can recommend staying with Shirley, Dermot and Mark.
