This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
Such a lovely host she helped us a lot, I liked her food and the house is clean and in a great area, near the shopping center.
My dad and I really enjoyed our stay at her house.
I hope we stay in touch <3
Elizabeth is a very gracious host, warm and friendly. She and her husband John made sure that I felt at home in their house, which was welcoming and clean. I would also like to thank them for a friendly chat after dinner, and for teaching me a new card game I would love to stay in touch, they are good hosts and lovely people
This was a great place to stay my first few days in Dublin. Betty and her husband made me feel very welcome and comfortable! Her house was very clean and her cooking was great!! The location is very peaceful and quiet and close to a bus stop. Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for all the help and advice during my first few days in Ireland.
I really appreciate your delicate help for me in everything. I could settle down in Dublin during staying in your house. I'll come by your house to see you and please, keep in touch with me. See you soon.
Elizabeth and John are wonderful, welcoming hosts and great people who are interested in getting to know about the country and culture of the people who are visiting them!
This was my first homestay and I'm glad I had such a good experience!
If I wanted to write everything that I'm thinking about now, it would be a really long text, so I'll try to write about the "highlights".
First of all: Dublin is an amazing city - good choice.
I could not have imagined a nicer stay in Dublin than in their cozy house.
From the first day I felt "at home".
They took care of me and always paid attention that everything was good.
The breakfast together and the evenings during dinner (thanks again for the nice meals) and the card games were so familiar and funny.
The room was clean and I felt comfortable in it.
You can easily reach a large shopping center (10 mins) and the city centre of Dublin (45 mins) by bus - the stop is in the immediate vicinity. A supermarket and some shops for example, you reach within easy walking distance - the neighbourhood/living environment in general is rather quiet and very pleasant.
They have shown me pubs, the coast side and many other really great things that made the stay perfect.
We always found a conversation topic and spent a lot of time together which was so good - they were always very efforted to help if I had questions and gave me the best tips for visiting sights.
I also feel like I learned a lot about Ireland and had the chance to improve my English.
The time in Dublin was so nice.
I would love to come back.
If you are looking for the best hosts, choose Betty and John too! :)
Thank you both so so much for the time in August, I loved it!
We stayed with Betty and John for five nights, we found their home a real home from home, very clean home absolutely no complaints, kitchen very homely. We enjoyed staying there so much that we would definitely return. They are both wonderful people. Made us feel like old friends. Thank you for the lovely trip to Wicklow, when we left you guys we went that way to visit family and stayed there. Thank you once again. Take care till we meet again. Love Paddy & Lyn. South Africa.
Good but not excellent. Elizabeth and John spent a lot of time on their own and they didn't get the chance to exchange information with their guests. I didn't appreciate Elizabeth's insistence on the payment although i had explained the problems I had with my card. The kitchen and the bathroom were not as cleaned as they should be. On my last day they both tried to start a conversation with me but it hasn't been necessary to change my mind. That's been totally different as I had expected and I'm sorry about that.
