About the Homestay
We are a small busy family with a friendly trained dog. The house is mostly quiet, comfortable and bright and always clean. We are 7 minutes walk from the train station and 10 minutes by train to Dublin city center.
The 27A bus is at the top of the road and will bring you into Dublin city in 10 minutes.
The 31D bus is 4 minutes walk away and brings you to the door of DCU.
We live near the east coast of Dublin and to walk to the coast it will take 15 minutes and if you take the walk through Saint Anne's park to the seafront you won't regret it, it is a beautiful park and an enjoyable walk, great for photography!
Dublin Airport is 15 minutes by car away from the house. We are near Eastpoint business park, two stops on the train, a five minute journey.
The infamous Rose Gardens at St Anne's park, Howth, Portmarnock and Malahide, DIT, DCU, Trinity College, UCD, and all English language schools and colleges in Dublin city center. We live along the dart-line (train line) so easy quick access to the city, south Dublin, North county Dublin and Co Wicklow.
There is a single private room with a very comfortable single bed, a wardrobe and bedside locker. The room looks out onto the large rear garden with trees and greenery, an old barrel sauna which is disconnected and emotted to a storage unit and a large trampoline, the back of the house is not overlooked and is private and quiet.
The LUXURY SOFA BED is in the living room where we sometimes watch tv and relax when we get a chance, this room is available for 1 person. This can be available for as little as 2 nights and is ideal for anyone on a quick visit to Dublin or a stop-over while waiting for a flight/ferry, if you need it for a longer stay just ask. The room is very peaceful, comfortable and warm and the largest in the house.
The twin room has two comfortable single beds, bedside locker, chair, bin and wardrobe.
Our neighborhood is reasonably quiet and safe and Raheny village has shops, post office, banks, libraries where students from schools and colleges in the area study, pubs, hairdressers, pharmacies and is a 5 minute walk away. I offer transfer to and from Dublin airport for thirty euro a lesser fee than a taxi awho have charged some guests fifty euros. If you are flying into Dublin airport late at night I recommend getting a taxi to my house because public transport stops operating around 23.20 and if you miss the last dart or bus I cannot collect you. I prefer if guests do not hang out in the house all day as there is a lot to explore no matter what the weather is like!

If you require an evening meal this will incur an extra charge and you must communicate this before booking with us. Only long term guests who can actually cook and clean up after themselves and respect my brand new kitchen can use it.
No smoking or drinking in the bedroom or anywhere in the house, I have no problem with guests going out for a socialbe drink but I do have reservations about those who become very drunk as this always causes problems.

I expect guests to visit Dublin and the surrounding area of our home, so please do not expect to stay at home in my house all day, there is so much to explore and experience.
We are here to make your stay in Dublin enjoyable so ask if you need advice with anything.

Smoking is allowed outdoors only.
Ann is a natural host; right from the outset we felt loved and wanted. Our 3 days with her were a great start to our stay in Ireland.
Her home is compact but well organised as she has been hosting guests for some time. House rules are clearly spelt out but are nothing more than good manners and commonsense.
As guests we felt warmly welcomed: Ann always looked out for what we might be wanting- a cup of tea (loved that organic black tea) some water to take up to bed, good coffee in the morning, then the spot-on breakfast! Ann also came up with some very helpful ideas for trips and things to see and do.
Her home is out of the city but well serviced by public transport. Very easy to get in and out of town.
Thank you so much Ann, I also enjoyed my stay with you. Thank you for sharing your time so generously with me, helping me find my luggage the .... the long wait at the airport on a busy late Friday afternoon! I rate my time with you as five stars and more!
Ann is an attentive host with a gift of hospitality, she enabled me to get around the area with transport and sorted out extra meals without any hassle. A great person to sit and chat to, a wealth of information about the area. Ann is one who will go the extra mile for her guests, a kind soul.
Ann was a lovely host, helping me and my friends every step of the way. She was kind and hospitable. The house was very neat and tidy. I definitely recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay.
Ann was an excellent host. She offered me tea upon arrival & didn't demand immediate payment. She took time to talk with another guest staying at her home and I despite the fact that she was very tired after a long, hard week. I will always remember that. She has a lovely family & is very accommodating & easy-going. I felt very relaxed in her home. Her friend who visited during my stay was lovely too. I would recommend Ann without hesitation & hope that she has many nice guests in the future.
This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
A wonderful person! Ann showed us around town and gave us plenty of ideas on where to go on our own. She was also a amazing story teller! The story's she will tell u will keep you laughing start to finish! Would recommend anyone to stay with her! Also her dog is the best!
Really good stay with Anne. Warm welcoming home. We had many really good chats into the wee hours of the morning. Would love to visit again.
Ann and her daughter are very friendly and cheerful. They have hosted us like we were already good friends. We are going to stay with them for sure the next time!
