About the Homestay
We are a small busy family with a friendly trained dog. The house is mostly quiet, comfortable and bright and always clean. We are 7 minutes walk to the train station, 10 minutes by train to Dublin city center.
The 27A bus is at the top of the road and will bring you into Dublin city in 10 minutes.
The 31D bus is 4 minutes walk away and brings you to the door of DCU.
We live near the east coast of Dublin and to walk to the coast it will take 15 minutes and if you take the walk through Saint Anne's park to the seafront you won't regret it, it is a beautiful park and an enjoyable walk, great for photography!
Dublin Airport is 15 minutes by car away from the house. We are near Eastpoint business park, two stops on the train, a five minute journey.
The infamous Rose Gardens at St Anne's park, Howth, Portmarnock and Malahide, DIT, DCU, Trinity College, UCD, and all English language schools and colleges in Dublin city center. We live along the dart-line (train line) so easy quick access to the city, south Dublin, North county Dublin and Co Wicklow.
Our neighborhood is reasonably quiet and safe and Raheny village has shops, post office, banks, libraries where students from schools and colleges in the area study, pubs, hairdressers, pharmacies and is a 5 minute walk away. We supply fresh clean towels, a hairdryer, clothes iron and ironing board are available for your use, and teas, fresh coffee as well as instant coffee, filtered water so no need to buy plastic bottles of water. All bed linen are boiled washed and ironed for every guest. If you book the sofa bed it is in our living room and we use the room sometimes to chill out some afternoons but it is 100% the guest's from 9pm-9am the following morning.
I prefer if guests do not hang out in the house all day as there is a lot to explore no matter what the weather is like!

No smoking or drinking in the bedroom or anywhere in the house, I have no problem with guests going out for a sociable drink but I do have reservations about those who become very drunk as this always causes problems.

Aine was the best host ever! She received us in her home even tho it was late at night, the room was wonderful ( great matress) and the breakfast just perfect. I think a big reason of why we enjoyed so much of Dublin in such a short time is because of Aine, she made us feel like home from the first moment, the house is so cozy , she is really funny and has lots of stories to tell, she even made a traditional irish cacerolle for us, the best!! Thanks for everything Aine, you are more than invited to come to Nice anytime. Have a wonderful life :) Belén and Deborah.
What can I say about Aine and my experience from my staying? Zero complaints. Amazing hostess, lovely , pleasant personality. She helped me very much with information about living in Ireland.
I enjoyed every minute of my staying there! Her house is extra clean, comfortable and just outside the Dart station, which takes about 10' to the city centre!
Also plenty bus routes coming by .
Every day she would welcome us with breakfast of her own and Mila her lovely dog makes you feel more comfortable, like home!
I hope to have the chance to stay again Aine !
Till then take care
It was a lovely time in Aine's house! Mattress are very comfortable, I've never slept better. I was happy also that could fullfil my bottle with filtered water and have a choice food!
Ann made our 4 days in Dublin to a great and enjoyable stay. The DART-station to city and coast is just a short walk. The two-bed room was perfect for us and the house is pleasant clean.
Thank you so much for sharing your time with us. I enjoyed the long conversations especially the one from mother to mother! Many thanks for the relaxing holidays you made possible for us.
Give a big hug to Rosa and Mela. Would like to send you a star-shower of hearts!
Ann is very nice and kind person. The house is very close to the station and city centre. Highly recommend if you are here to travel. I enjoyed to stay in her house and I had a really unforgettable memory in Dublin.
I thanked Ann for her kindness. He has informed me of many things of great use to me. Always helpful and smiling. It has helped me improve my English. I have felt at home. Gracias Ana.
Ann is a natural host; right from the outset we felt loved and wanted. Our 3 days with her were a great start to our stay in Ireland.
Her home is compact but well organised as she has been hosting guests for some time. House rules are clearly spelt out but are nothing more than good manners and commonsense.
As guests we felt warmly welcomed: Ann always looked out for what we might be wanting- a cup of tea (loved that organic black tea) some water to take up to bed, good coffee in the morning, then the spot-on breakfast! Ann also came up with some very helpful ideas for trips and things to see and do.
Her home is out of the city but well serviced by public transport. Very easy to get in and out of town.
Thank you so much Ann, I also enjoyed my stay with you. Thank you for sharing your time so generously with me, helping me find my luggage the .... the long wait at the airport on a busy late Friday afternoon! I rate my time with you as five stars and more!
Ann is an attentive host with a gift of hospitality, she enabled me to get around the area with transport and sorted out extra meals without any hassle. A great person to sit and chat to, a wealth of information about the area. Ann is one who will go the extra mile for her guests, a kind soul.
Ann was a lovely host, helping me and my friends every step of the way. She was kind and hospitable. The house was very neat and tidy. I definitely recommend for anyone looking for a place to stay.
