We live in Glenageary, close to Dun Laoghaire in South County Dublin. We are 5 minutes walk from Glenageary Dart Station, which makes commuting to the city a breeze! The shore of the magnificent Dublin Bay is 10 minutes walk away, with a beach and sea bathing spot, "The Forty Foot". Dalkey village 1k away is steeped with history and boasts a lively cafe and pub scene.
We have hosted students before from Spain, Italy, Poland and primarily, America.
My husband, Frank runs his own IT company and I work 3 days a week in HR. We have 4 children, one away studying in Paris, one in TCD 2nd year and twins of 17 in secondary school.
We are a sporty family who love the outdoors, sailing, kayaking, swimming, hill walking. There is no shortage of activities close by including some fabulous walks in Killiney Hill Park and the Vico Road.
Additional Info
The room is bright, has a large desk, wardrobe with drawers, chair and book shelves. All bed linen provided. No pets, but I do occasionally mind my sisters small dog.
All bills, Wifi and Off-street parking included. Shed available for secure storage of bikes, etc. Non-smoking.

Hemos pasado unos días muy agradables en su casa. Toda la familia era encantadora y se preocuparon de ayudarnos en todo lo que necesitábamos. La habitación era amplia y con mucha luz. La casa en general era muy luminosa y el jardín estaba muy cuidado. Judy es una gran cocinera y siempre era muy atenta con los niños, al igual que su marido. El Tren queda muy cerca andando por lo que te permite desplazarte fácilmente. Nos hemos sentido como en casa. Muchas gracias por todo!
How do I book?

When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
