We are extremely lucky to live in Kerry and to have the Wild Atlantic Way on our doorstep. Seamus and I love to explore the beautiful costal routes and hike, cycle and mountain climb at every opportunity.
As a result of working in the tourist industry for many, many years I've extensive knowledge of the area as well as the entire country.
About us: We enjoy travelling and have been to many beautiful places over the past couple years. New Zealand, Hongkong, Australia, Peru and Machu Pichu, and climbing Kilamanjaro in Tanzania, more recently Vietnam and Cambodia along with many cities throughout Europe with a visit to Berlin shortly and Cuba in December. In November we went to London to see our favourite composer Ennio Morricone with our two children who are 12 and 9. They are complete fans as the the 12 year old plays the oboe and the 9 year old the trumpet. We love going out and especially meeting up with friends and neighbours in our local pub "The Shanty" (opens 4 nights a week) for ceoil agus craic, as well as enjoying theatre and musicials.
Tralee is about 10 minutes drive from us and we highly recommend some pubs there for food. The Brogue on Rock Street is super as is Gally's on Castlemaine road. Both are tradition pub/restaurants. Tralee also has a wide variety of other eateries, Italian, Asian, Chinese, to mention a few.
We have made heaps of friends through Homestay and look forward to making more in this year as well as welcoming back some we've had over the past couple years. Here's to love, health and happiness for the coming year and a bucket list that gets longer and longer as a result of meeting amazing Homestay guests.
Our family includes our little King Charles dog whom we rescued from a shelter many years ago. An adorable wee dog who bothers nobody.

About the Area
Our home is located about 20 minutes drive from Killarney and about 10 minutes from Tralee. Both these towns have beautiful restaurants and lively trendy or traditional bars, many of which serve great pub food. We live in a quiet area with views of the Macguillycuddy Reeks in the distance. We are lucky to be on the Dingle Peninsula and the Ring of Kerry route. Our local pub "The Shanty" is a quaint, quirky must see bar. They open 4 nights a week. We are also lucky to have Ballyseedy Castle Pub/Hotel close by and we often go to relax and enjoy a drink here. We are 10 minute drive to Tralee town, a lively town which has many bars which serve super pub food and the town boasts many excellent resturants.
