About the Homestay
I live in a beautiful residential leafy suburb in Rathfarnham with my husband Sean.
Our house is a semi detached with large garden and patio. We enjoy both the proximity of the city centre which is just forty minutes by public transport and the beautiful picturesque Dublin mountains.
Local amenities include Rathfarnham Castle, the famous Johnny Fox's Pub and restaurant, Marley Park bus, coffee shops, pubs and local places of interest too many to mention.
We have a beautiful entrance hall with downstairs w/c, large lounge/sitting-room with gas fire, spacious dining room, large fitted kitchen. Upstairs we have two large double bedrooms (one en-suite) and a large single bedroom, the double bedrooms can also have an extra bed if required (supplement €9.00 per night). We also have a family bathroom which includes a bath & Shower and downstairs w/c which can also be used by of our guests.
Sean and I welcome guests from all over the world and enjoy the social interaction of their stay.
We have hosted students of all nationalities for the past number of years. We enjoy this very much and we find it both stimulating interesting and educational.

I really enjoyed to be at Maura and Sean's house. They did their best to make my stay comfortable. The area is safe and very quiet. It takes about 7 mins to reach the bus stop and 45 mins to go to St Stephen's Green, in morning rush hours nearly one hour.
Very nice couples and peaceful neighbourhood. And the house is kept clean and cosy. Deffinately recommand to live here.
Sean and Maura are very nice people. The place is quiet, clean and beautiful. Perfect for a short or a long trip in Ireland!
Sean and Maura - Truely an amazing couple and very helpful people. They guided me, helped me out in a messy situation and I will forever be thankful to them. May god bless them!.
My stay has been an wonderful experience with them. Definitely recommend this Homestay!
Thanks for everything Sean and Maura.
These are the most friendly and affable people I have met. They are ready to help and come to the rescue, whatever happens. The room is a bit small, but enough to sleep well. Go to the center for about an hour
Very nice couple. I spent 2 very good months in their house. They are always there to communicate with you and help you if you need it. Living with them is a very good way to be immersed in irish culture. I loved that experience.
Had an amazing time with Maura and Sean. They are loving and caring. They took good care of me and it was very nice to have a chat over dinner every day. Would definitely recommend :) :)
Excellent place to stay
I strongly recommend Sean and Maura - so accommodating, approachable, helpful and could not meet a nicer couple. It was an absolute pleasure to stay in a warm, friendly and a home that feels like home.
My stay with Maura and Sean deserves more than five hearts. They are a lovely and amazing couple. They are always willing to help, with the best of their smiles and they're always up for a good conversation and a cup of tea! I absolutely recommend this host!
