The house is beautiful, warm & comfortable but there was no T.V. or radio in the room. I was not offered the use of a sitting room so felt confined to my bedroom in the evening. Luckily I was out till 9.45pm both nights.
The host made some effort to make me feel welcome but the hostess made little or no effort at social connection. She did not even see me off at the door when I was leaving, just called out from behind an almost closed study door that she was on the computer and that was it. I felt that she was only interested in the money.
I was not asked what I wanted for breakfast on 2nd day, just got the same scrambled eggs as on day 1. I might have liked poached eggs for a change or would a rasher & sausage be out of the question for 60euro?
I will not be staying there again even though I am likely to be in the area. Ben the dog was nice and friendly but apart from that it did not qualify as a Homestay - more like a Housestay!
This was my first experience of Homestay and may be my last! I'm sorry I can't give a better review but hope this will help improve the service for customers.
Yours sincerely,
Jane S.

Thank you Lesley!!!!May 2016
Excellent service/experience. First time using Homestay & after staying with Leslie would highly recommend it. From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty. Great welcome/lovely room and facilities. Great hosts who couldn't do enough for us. Didn't feel like we were guests in their house, made us feel very much at home.
Beautiful house & country setting yet very close to Kildare & the many local tourist attractions.
Would highly recommend a stay if you are in the area.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 250 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
