Yuriko and her husband Jin are amazing hospitable people. Our room was great, spacious and clean. The location of their house is great for exploring Tokyo.
Despite the language barrier, we communicated using google translate and all went very well.
It was great to have interactions with japanese people for the start of our Japan trip.
We were very busy during the trip, but we always had a wondeful chat over breakfast. Breakfast was light and great for starting the day.
Everything was fantastic and we hope to visit again in the future!

Yuriko and Jin are incredible people, They are very genuine and want to connect with their guests, which means a lot. I wish I spoke more Japanese, but we made do with google translate as best we could. The room was comfortable and the house well equipped. The breakfast is fantastic as well. I wish I had longer, but glad I had some time there to explore the neighborhood and talk with them. It brings me joy they have hosted so many guests, and I can only hope more people get to experience their kindness and enthusiasm.

Yuriko-san and Jin-san are so so wonderful and kind!! When we arrived, we were immediately welcomed, taken to our room to drop off our belongings, and invited to have a chat over tea. The Tsukamotos are warm people, and even with our novice Japanese, we were able to talk and understand most of the conversation. Learning about them and their experience as homestay hosts was neat. Each morning, Yuriko-san prepared breakfast for us, which was simple and delicious. Had toast with butter and jam, fruit, tamagoyaki, and green tea one day, and after hearing that we like natto, Yuriko-san prepared natto with rice, tamagoyaki, and fruit the following day. They also helped us plan our transit to Kawazu on the day we were departing, which was so sweet of them.
Not anything negative, but a heads up that the stairs in their home are quite narrow (like a little less than 1 meter wide), so take caution. Carrying typical check-in luggage is possible, but may be challenging (especially if heavy). Our stay was short but so enjoyable! We would have stayed for a longer amount of time if our schedule allowed!!

My stay with Jin san and Yuriko san has been so precious and easily the best highlights from my 2 week stay. Loving and sweet, just like my own grandparents. Yuriko san is very patient and attentive with using the translator app, and the breakfasts she made every morning was full of warmth and I miss it so much. Jin san has been so kind and caring, he made sure I was well rested and well fed. He also got up really early to drive me to the bus station on my last day. They also got me my favourite food for me to bring back home. One of the most genuine couple I met, and I will for sure be staying with them my next visit. I cant wait to see them again!
