You will share a detached house with a multilingual working family of 3.
Each member of our family holds a clean Enhanced DBS certificate allowing us to work with vulnerable and under 18 lawfully.
We are also fully insured for hosting and registered with the British Council with a Homestay Host certificate.
Our neighbourhood is safe and secure; our location is ideally away enough from Reading central, where the daily crime rate is still an ongoing concern for most parents.
I Rodolph (Husband) French native, speak English fluently, practice Italian and A little Spanish, work from home, co-hosting property rentals & HR/Employment law qualified, and I am usually available all day.
My wife Nalini, who speaks Hindi, Mauritian, French and English fluently, is a registered nurse and clinical site manager for the NHS.
Our daughter Meg speaks French and English fluently; she is at Kendrick Grammar school in Reading, acknowledged as one of the best in the UK.
As a family, we enjoy the outdoors, walking and cycling in the lovely Pangbourne area with our electric bicycles from home.
Our home has 6x bedrooms, 2x bathrooms, 3x toilets, with a lovely open-sky conservatory for breakfast, lunches & dinners.
We are in a prime location:
Ideally located 1min walk from the large Sainsbury complex, Gym, Costa cafe, Pharmacy, money exchange, Boots, Explore learning, McDonald's & Ikea Shopping mall and other shops.
1-minute drive only to the new M4 smart motorway, so we can drive to central Reading, avoiding heavy morning traffic by driving from junction 11 to junction 12 in 5 min.
1-minute walk away from the main Sainsbury Bus stop.
We're also 0.5 miles away from Theale train station, with direct trains to London-Paddington passing through the Reading train station.
You can walk directly from our home via the IKEA motorway footbridge to the station.
A 1-minute walk from the main bath road to reading central direct via the main Sainsbury bus stop.
Check-ins are from 3 pm and check out by 10 am
We provide an additional cost:
- School drop-off and pick-ups (To be discussed)
- 8K laundry (Dry & wash) for £5.
- Electric bicycle tour from our homestay to Pangbourne, Reading and back.
- Transport to Reading Stations £10
- Transport to Heathrow Airports with our 4x4 for £100, including luggage & airport parking fees, for other London Airports the price is £150.
- Lunch £5 & dinner £10
- FREE Bicycle & luggage storage.

Our Home is located Reading West and 3 miles from City Centre, you can go by bicycle, electric scooter or by bus in 20 min or by car in 10 min depending on traffic.

House Rules:
- Please use the dining table in the conservatory or Kitchen bar for any meals.
- Pack-lunches or lunches are available at £5 (sandwich/panini/crips/chips fruit/drink)
- Dinner can be arranged for £10; this is available for long-stay bookings Only.
- Transport to Reading
- Free unlimited tea/coffee/infusion/hot-chocolate/milk/sugar
- No food or sugary drinks in the bedroom (water/tea is fine)
- No shoes on bedroom carpets; please use a plastic bag
- Feel free to use the microwave/toaster/kettle/fridge/crockery/salt&pepper
- Entrance door is locked at 23:00
- Curfew between 11 pm-6 am (except during Reading Festival)
- Pls wear sleepers Only inside the house (supplied).
- Free Dryer/outside line and washing machine available after 5 days stay (if less £5 applies)
- Use the kitchen/bar integrated drinks cooler to get FREE fizzy/flatwater bottles.
- Use our seagrass belly laundry basket for your dirty laundry.
- Be respectful of other guests and allow shared areas.
- Please use our dedicated Bathroom top of the stairs with bath/shower/toilet to share among Guest Only + Xtra toilet downstairs.
-if you would like to invite a friend, please agree with me in advance.
-No Alcohol - No smoking - No drug - No party on the property.
-It is homestay's policy to only transact bookings for guests over 18 years of age unless an adult accompanies them during their stay; we suggest that the parents/guardian of a minor guest write a note/ email addressed to homestay and us to state that you are aware of the age limit of the website but are happy for this booking to proceed and will absolve both the platform and us the host of any liability in proceeding with this booking.
Payment Method:
Please note that we require our guests to pay us 100% of the booking total in advance of the booking to hold your room via our Paypal account.

Come posso prenotare?
Contatta l'host per verificare la loro disponibilità e chiedi loro eventuali informazioni necessarie a finalizzare il tuo soggiorno. Una volta che l'host conferma che e' disponibile per le date richieste, è possibile completare la prenotazione.
Quando pago?
Una volta che l’host conferma di essere disponibile, puoi procedere con la prenotazione e pagare il 15% a titolo di commissione di prenotazione (con un massimo di 250 $£€ per soggiorni estesi) e un 25% di deposito utilizzando diverse opzioni di pagamento: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal. Il deposito e’ incassato in anticipo per conto dell’host per consentirgli di tutelarsi contro eventuali cancellazioni effettuate con meno di 7 giorni di anticipo o nel caso di mancato arrivo. Pagherai quindi il restante saldo direttamente all’host all’arrivo. Il deposito del 25 % viene trasferito all’host due giorni lavorativi dopo la data prevista di arrivo. Questo pagamento a titolo di deposito ti verrà restituito solamente nel caso in cui cancelli la prenotazione con un preavviso di almeno 7 giorni rispetto alla data di arrivo.
Quando posso condividere i miei dati di contatto?
Non appena la prenotazione viene confermata dall'ospite e la commissione di prenotazione viene pagata, Homestay.com invierà una mail di conferma con gli indirizzi email e numeri di telefono per mettersi in contatto direttamente. E' vietato scambiare contatti diretti attraverso il sistema di messaggistica prima del pagamento della prenotazione.
