  Unfortunately I did not have the best experience with this guest, she didn’t respect the rules and burned my ‘new carpet’ (not rug) using an iron on the floor when an ironing board was available and didn’t own up until I noticed it prior to getting the room cleaned. I had entered the room when she was out as the windows were left open/unlocked and I had an issue setting the alarm as well as it posed a security issue because there is a flat roof. The only time I had touched her belongings was when I asked for access to her room to get it cleaned and had asked her to put all her bags which were piled up in the middle of the room into the cupboards provided, which she did, but her laptop was left out. To avoid any potential accident/damage I put it safely into the cupboard so the cleaner could get around easily. I did request her to open the curtains in the morning instead of using the light in broad daylight to save electricity but she never mentioned that she suffered from migraines so I was totally unaware, and this was the only time I had left a post it note but it was ignored anyway and I didn’t ask her again. Lastly my profile is very clear about the rules and these should be respected.
