My visit to Seoul turned out to be one of my best trips I've ever had in my life, largely thanks to Candy House! The family is very nice, knowledgeable, fun to be around, and attentive to guests. As other reviews mentioned, their breakfast is super delicious, and they even cooked us some delicious dinner when all guests are around, which was one of the best nights I spent in Seoul. One of the caveats is probably the distance from the center of Seoul. However, I don't think it is a deal-breaker - Line no 1. and 4. are super convenient and you can go to a lot of points of interest in Seoul within approx. 30-40 minutes. The Changdong neighborhood itself is a lot of fun - lots of good local restaurants, cafes, noraebangs, etc. which you wouldn't usually find in travel guidebooks. I also had a great time hanging out with other guests, who are truly interesting people from all walks of life that I would otherwise not have a chance to meet. Also, HyoungSik and his wife had great patience with my not-so-great Korean ... if you are looking for opportunities to improve your Korean skills, or authentic homestay experience with a lovely Korean family, look no further :) I would definitely stay there again.
