With a 10 minute walk to bus/train stations you can leave for daytrips to the seaside, or to famous towns like Siena, Arezzo, Pisa, Lucca, San Gimignano, or for trekking in Cinque Terre or for winetasting tours in the Tuscan hillsides.
We have been hosting students for decades. I also offer Italian cooking lessons, watercolor lessons, Italian and English lessons.
I love to cook, so breakfast includes my jams homemade with fruit from our place in the country. For evening meals just ask, we will be glad to give you a taste of the famous Tuscan specialties!

Very friendly hosts.
Location cannot be beat. Right in the center. Say yes to dinner with Jeanne and Fabio. It was really good! Shared bathroom, single beds, closet with hangers, drying rack, power outlets, hairdryer, one towel. Bring your own toiletries, wifi a little spotty in the back of the room but better in the main areas, and Fabio smokes (if that bothers you). Definitely recommend!
I had a very good stay at Jeanne and Fabio house. The room was comfortable, quiet. Jeanne and Fabio were very good hosts. For the breakfast, bread and homemade marmelade, tea. I had a dinner with them (15€) which was really good. The appartement is very well located, in a few minutes you are in the very touristic center of Florence. I highly recommand Keanne and Fabio house.
The place it is central and by that I mean that it is at 5 min from the Dome and 10 min from Uffizi museum. The hosts are easy going and really helpful. We really appreciated our stay.
This was a great place to stay! Wonderful location close to the uffizi and a lot of shopping. Jeanne had to leave part way through our trip, but her husband was able to step in and host us for the rest of our stay. There are quite a few stairs to get up to the house, but it was no problem for us, just a little extra exercise.
Familia perfecta.
This was the perfect homestay. The central position is ideal for the train station and to explore the whole city. The room was comfortable and spacious, especially as I was a solo traveller, and I slept better than at home. Jeanne and Fabio are wonderful hosts, warm and friendly but not at all intrusive. I had dinner with them and Jeanne is a great cook, her food was delicious and i could not have have eaten better anywhere in Florence. I hope that I will be able to stay with them again on my return.
Jeanne and Fabio were good hosts. I was in town for a nearly week-long event and did a little sight-seeing as well. Location was fantastic for accessibility to places I needed to go and public transportation. Although a busy few days, it was nice to be able to have easy access to "home." I enjoyed having dinner with the family the first evening so I could get to know them and they me, which I feel is important (well worth the 15 Euro). They graciously offered me lunch with them shortly after I arrived. The food was delicious. Breakfasts were simple but good. Homemade jams. Local bread. Homegrown olive oil. Usually some type of fruit available. On my last morning I had to leave quite early, before the family awoke, however, Jeanne was gracious enough to leave a few things on the table the night before and tell me what I had access to in the refrigerator so I could eat a breakfast before leaving...felt like home. :) The room had multiple beds. Clean, well set up for guests, whether one or many. Wi-Fi connection was good. Might be helpful if a fan would be available in the heat of the summer...but I never asked...yet I stayed comfortable enough to sleep. FYI: Fabio does smoke his cigar indoors with the windows open to ventilate. Overall, I would recommend Jeanne and Fabio as hosts and would consider staying there again if and when I return to Florence.
I had a most enjoyable stay with Jeanne and Fabio. They are lovely people who make you feel at home immediately. I also had some delicious meals with them. If I go back to Florence, which I hope to do, I shall certainly ask to stay with them again! Many thanks to both of them.
Great trip! Jeanne and Fabio are really nice and welcoming. Their flat is beautiful, the room is comfortable and very clean. Very well located at 5 minutes from the city centre.
