Our home is a 30 minute by car to Taormina village which has an ‘old-world’ feel with lots of picturesque thatched cottages.
We have a small kitchen and separate dining room that opens into a lovely conservatory. There is a garden with a amazing balcon.
We have one spare bicycle, which our guests are welcome to borrow during their stay.
Nearby Santa Margherita beach is very safe and has a lifeguard year-round. This village has a rural feel and has a good selection of cafés, bars and restaurants on the beach.

We had a bad start as nobody was there to welcome No numbers or names on the apartment. Neighbour ended up letting us is. Place was in a bit of a mess. Our room was full of other peoples clothes, no air con and shared bathroom. Ciro was a good host and friendly when he arrived, and he did phone us to explain the problem, but we decided to only stay one night. Maybe good if you are young, backpacking and very easy going

Really enjoyed my home stay in Messina the host family were very welcoming and took me and my sister to Etna and the town Randazzo after picking me up from Catania airport.
I would recommend going direct as I had two flights staying in Rome.
They are both excellent cooks and cooked with fresh local produce.
We had a lovely knowledgeable Mt Etna guide who had the same name as me lol he was very patient with me it was well worth the hike up to see the views.. Ciro and Elyna also took us to Taromina where we enjoyed a drink in the Irish bar after walking around the exclusive resort.
Really miss them and would love to visit again....Ciro and Elyna are wonderful at what they do as they really make you feel involved, learnt such a lot about the history and local food...the village behind the main road S.Margherita is typical even a local gave us some lemons that i made a granita with when I got home!!
Even iris the dog was friendly and welcoming!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay with Ciro and Elyna. They took me to various places and I saw lots of different things. The location of the house is great, right near the beach, supermarkets and bars just around the corner. Iris the dog is very friendly too! X

It was my first time in this accomodation and I already miss the owners, Ciro and Iris, who immediately proved to be very welcoming. Thanks to them I felt such as at home! The house is spacious, comfortable and with a magnificent position in front of the sea. Messina city centre is approachable easily in a short time, such as several touristic sites. No remarks. Excellent value for money!!!!

Lovely holiday! Beautiful house on the beach, close to downtown Messina and only half an hour from Taormina and Giardini Naxos. The morning started with a delicious breakfast and the excellent candle lit dinner was enhanced by the view of the Straits of Messina. Ciro and Elyna are very good cooks who love cooking Mediterranean specialities ( the swordfish was fantastic!), for quality and price this place is unbeatable.

Ciro, Elyna and even Iris (their adorable dog) are friendly, generous and helpful giving all kinds of information on what to see and do in the area, in fact it's possible to dance, drink and listen to music every night on the beach. They even lent us bicycles to use during our stay. Fantastic, well done to Ciro and Elyna
