About the Area
The Prati neighborhood offers a quieter and calmer alternative for tourists looking to be well-connected to the sights of Rome without being stuck in the middle of the hustle and bustle of the city. It is an affluent residential neighborhood that has the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica practically at its doorstep. Because of its close proximity to the Pope’s residence, it also happens to be one of the safest neighborhoods to be in. Aside from convenience, Prati is filled with great authentic Roman trattorie and great bars and pubs where one can go and listen to some live music.
Our neighborhood is quiet and safe, you can walk safely at night and you can find many bars, pubs, restaurants, typical italian gelateria, cinemas and many shops for your shopping.
The Prati area has a fantastic array of shops for travelers to do a little retail therapy. Two famous shopping streets in the area are Via Ottaviano and Via Cola di Rienzo. Up and down Via Ottaviano, you can find all sorts of women's clothing stores and shops specializing in accessories. Whether you're looking for Italian handmade leather boots, a purse, jeans or even gourmet coffee from Castroni, you're bound to find it here on Via Cola di Rienzo. Not too far from Via Cola di Rienzo, in Piazza Cavour, there's the fabulous Enoteca Costantini where you can pick up a fine bottle of Brunello di Montalcino or Morellino di Scansano for your friends and family back home. Lastly, this neighborhood is famous for its mercato all'aperto. The most famous in Rome, the Mercato Trionfale is located in the heart of Prati. Here you can buy freshest fruits, vegetables, meats and cheeses with over 200 stalls to choose from.
We are located in Piazzale Clodio bus terminal and very close to the subway (line A Ottaviano), you can easily reach the airports, stations and anywhere in the city or outside Rome.
We are outside of the ZTL and you can get there easily by car, parking on blu stripes cost 1€/hour, but there are some free areas on white stripes.
Near our apartment there are several private garages where you can leave your car for your entire stay.

Luca and Claudia were what I have come to expect from Italian people, they are just so so nice, warm, very personable and graceful. They were able to let me stay an extra night as my plans changed the very last minute. The apartment was very charming too, lots of character, which is why I prefer Homestay to hotels. The double bed I slept 4 nights in, probably one of the most comfortable beds I ever slept on. The location was perfectly placed, mostly everything is nearby with easy access to most forms of transport. I would highly recommend this stay here in Roma. Ciao
