Roberta is like my mother in Roma. She was a very kind person and always took care of me so that my trip would be nice ! She showed me which place to go in the city center of Roma. And also recommended me some good local restaurants near her house which are less expensive than in the city center. Her friends were also kind as well and went out with them in the night ! Her place is about 20 minutes from Termini Station and you can feel Italian life more than in the city centre.
I wish there was a 10 star option!!! :) If you are in Rome, the only right choice you need to make is to stay with Roberta. She is a fantastic host, a really sweet lady, and is such a pleasure to talk to! She goes above and beyond to make sure that you get to see everything you want out of Rome and will do anything she can to help you. She picked me up from the airport, made sure i had bus tickets before i started sightseeing, and treated me like a member of her extended family!! I mostly appreciated our morning meetings where she would map out places to go, and give me detailed directions on how to get there (and what tickets to buy in advance). Her apartment is nice and relaxing, as well as her two cute dogs! I have found a forever friend in Roberta and will DEFINITELY be coming back to Rome to stay with her. Grazie Mille!!! ☺️
Roberta is a wonderful host and a delightful person. Great to just chat with. She was also very helpful with our sightseeing by giving us tips of things to see and how to get there. There were other people staying with her while we were there and they were also lovely people. I thing a warm and exhuberant person such as Roberta has the tendency to attract others like her. My sister made the booking because of what others had said in their reviews. She was right. I hope to see you again Roberta. XXOO
Roberta.....I miss her already! This was my first trip to Italy and I arrived 5 days before my daughter was to meet me there. I was a bit anxious about being alone, not speaking the language and of course, wondering if the description of the homestay would be an accurate one. From the moment I saw her smiling and waving at me outside the FCO terminal (she will provide transportation), I felt warmly welcomed and knew I had made a good decision about my Homestay. What I didn't expect, was that Roberta and I would have so much in common, from our love of film, music, books, politics, family and life. Roberta is a gem of a human being. She is funny, kind, really smart (!), clean and makes a mean cappuccino. In addition to having a great time in Italy, I am now blessed with a dear friend. Oh - I almost forgot to mention... she has the sweetest little dogs: Lucilla "Piccolo" and Savorio. They love everyone! Especially if you give them cane biscotti!
Roberta is a gems of a person, she guides us with all what we needed as a tourist. The location is okay, not too far from Termini. She allowed us to use Kitchen and gave us pick and drop facility at a very nominal cost. If you are planing for a home stay she is the best person to stay with. Her flat is net, clean and comfortable. Best value of price. Roberta is a very good and kind hearted lady and always ready to help. Thanks you Roberta.
Roberta é uma verdadeira mãe. Amei estar com ela. Super preocupada. A casa dela é linda e super arrumada. Com certeza se um dia eu voltar a Roma, vou tentar ficar com a Roberta.
My host was very kind and helpful. I arrived in Rome very sick and it was her thoughtfulness that helped me through. Also she was very attentive in perfectly creating my itinerary of places to visit....also taking in consideration of my body that's fighting the flu bug and weakens limbs. I can't thank her enough for going above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. Rome was a challenge... there weren't many signs to guide tourists to the hidden sights( I searched for Trevi fountain for hours....oh my already weak feet). Hope that is an area for improvement for the govt in the tourism ministry/dept.
Getting the bus to the metro was good and they run throughout the day it looked like every 5-10 minutes. I was concern about the area but it turned out to be a very calm neighborhood with friendly citizens. I missed my stop upon arrival to Roberta and it was a local who helped me to the stop not the driver he didn't know my stop...the locals were the best and the main street was very busy with flowing vehicular traffic and small businesses. If anyone is interested in staying with Roberta I would say go for it. Yeah...I did Rome.
If you want to feel at home, if you want to see the best of Rome and if you want to experience the best side of Italian hospitality and help, Roberta"s home is where you will find all of it. She has a beautiful and quiet apartment with a homely feel. She is an enchanting conversationalist who goes all the way to drawing maps and planning the days of your stay in grand Roma so that you don't miss out on anything. So next time when you are going to Roma, I would highly recommend Roberts's homestay. If you are looking for Italian connection and want to have an intimate Italian experience, this is the home for it.
This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
