About the Area
The house is located in the Castro District Praetorian-Macao, adjacent to the Termini railway station, a short distance from the Metro stops at Termini or the Republic. The District has straight roads with center in the large Independence Square, which branches a network of secondary roads which have been given names that recall the places where there were the wars of independence. This is the most populated area of the district, in which live urbanistically two-storey villas, palaces umbertini used in homes, offices and hotels. The most monumental part of the neighborhood is Piazza della Repubblica (formerly Piazza Esedra) with Via Nazionale, the crossroads delle Quattro Fontane and Via Cavour, major arteries of both pedestrian and vehicular connection between the station and the historic center.

This was the worst staying experience for me and my family. Franco is one liar and cheater. He works like an agent for many room owners I guess. First he made me and my family which includes 2 kids to walk for around 2.5km saying that it is just 300 to 400 meters walk. Then He gave us some very old apartment at different location and took money for two days. By the time we realized that it is not the same room shown here we tried to ask him for cancellation and refund but he straight away refused. I would never recommend to stay in Franco's apartment until unless you love to stay in century old apartment. Believe in this old man's word on your own risk.
Only +ve thing for my stay was the chinese lady whom we met on arrival who was very helpful and cheerful. She told us to use anything available in fridge ie.snacks and breakfast. I guess she was the real owner of the room.
El señor Franco fue muy amable.
Su casa es bella y muy bien ubicada. El baño es limpio y el cuarto agradable y amplio.
Recomendamos ampliamente esta casa y al anfitrión.
I stayed 5 nights at Franco s place. He is easy going and helpful, the experience is like sharing a flat.
Location is very good but the place needs refurbishing, and there wasnt any socket where I could plug my devices, too old.
On the whole the experience was good.
Franco fue muy amable, nos dejo mapas, no pudimos desayunar porque siempre saliamos muy temprano y a las corridas, el lugar no es peligroso esta bien ubicado para ir a cualquier lugar! MUCHAS GRACIAS!
We visited Franco´s home in October 2015 and stayed for about 10 days. Franco is a very welcoming and caring person. He told us lots about the city. The flat is very clean and good located. Thank you for the wonderful time in Rome!
Franco was a friendly host, he offered refreshments after I arrived. The room was perfect for the one night stop I had in Rome. Very easy walk from Termini so the location was ideal.
Lovely Franco. Quite and nice place to start to enjoying Rome.Next to the culturals sites, shops, avenues, restaurants...
Franco was a warm and hospitable host until he blew himself up with his car radiator...poor bugga LOL. I wish him a speedy recovery.
The location is fantastic as all transport leads to Termini and it is far enough away from the station to feel normal. The room is a good size and the bed is comfortable with plenty of storage and hanging space. Bathroom is fine. If you are noise sensitive bring some earplugs but generally it was not a problem. Importantly there a no stairs and it is very easy access which I loved. Grazie Franco for you kind hospitality and new friendship :)
Franco was a charming host and the room was large, clean and comfortable. Good location with easy access to trains and buses. Although on a busy road, the traffic was quiet during the night.
