About the Homestay
Large and comfortable apartment right below the Cucco Mountain!
Recently renewed, it has been designed for maximum comfort and high level of services.
Rural finitures, awesome ancient furnitures, 1 BR + 1 BA, fenced garden and parking space right in front of the house.
In this apartment the following rooms are available:
1. 1 living room with brand new full kitchen where the stone walls walls are visible
2. 1 master bedroom where the stone walls walls are visible
3. 1 bathroom.
The apartment can accomodate 2 persons, upon requests 2 more beds will be available.
This apartment is wheelchair accessible.
The guests will have exclusive access to all the rooms shown in the pictures. There is also a fenced garden, shared with the other apartment, where children can play safely. The house is very close to the main square of the little city (5 minutes walking) but at the same time it is very quiet. In front of the house you can park your car.
This beautiful country house has been built in the late 800 and recently renewed following 2 criteria:
1. the preservation and valorization of its historical heritage,
2. the comfort of its space.
For these reasons the ceiling has been rebuilt with wooden beams just like when it was built the first time, windows are made of wood with inner wood little door to close them, many furnitures have been restored, while kitchens and bathrooms are brand new.
The location is very famous both for summer sports (MTB, hand glider, speleology, trekking, horseback riding), as well for the many beautiful historical cities (Gubbio, Perugia, Assisi etc...) and also for the unicity and greatness of the local food that is the result of the strong cultural roots of this region.
Last but not least there are several dine out options if you want to experience local food or a supermarket at 2 minutes walking for anything you need in the house.

About the Area
At the bottom of Monte Cucco, you can both practice many sports and Countless opportunity instead to taste the local food and wine in its thousands choices!
You can live in Sigillo really without driving a car, that's really a bonus to experience the italian life!
The house is in a very convenient location to discover all the beauties of central Italy: Assisi, Gubbio and Gualdo Tadino are less than 30 minutes driving, while Perugia, Montefalco and the Adriatic Sea are less than 1 hour!
Best option to visit central Italy is by car, but a bus station is few minutes away and the closest train station is in Fossato di Vico, i.e. 10 minutes by bus or car (I can eventually help with that).
Other Things to Note
A TV will be available in the house upon request at no extra cost (i.e. italian national TV channels, no pay TV nor pay-per-view).
All the apartments of the house can be rented together if you need.

Our stay in Sigillo was amazing! Paolo was the perfect host. He was very easy to communicate with from the beginning. He gave very good information about his property and the town in which it's located. He also provided excellent information to help us enjoy the surrounding cities in Umbria. As a host, he went above and beyond our expectations. He picked us up from the train station, took us to the grocery, and provided anything that we needed to enjoy our stay. He made our comfort and enjoyment his priority. Paolo made us feel very welcome; plus, he ensured our safety and well being throughout our stay.
The apartment is absolutely beautiful. It's prettier than the pictures. We were so happy with the accommodations, and the listing was very accurate. You can tell that a lot of love and care went into the renovation and furnishing of this apartment as well as the building. Also, we were very glad to have access to WiFi, TV, and washer/dryer. The town is very peaceful and everything is within easy walking distance, including grocery stores, a pharmacy, and good restaurants. No matter what the weather is like, the outdoor beauty is awesome. The view from our front door was simply amazing. We could say so many more good things about our experience with Paolo, his wonderful family, and Sigillo. We look forward to coming back again and again.
How do I book?
Contact the host to check their availability and ask them any questions you have about staying with them. Once the host confirms they’re available for your dates, you can complete your booking.
When do I pay?
Once a host confirms they're available, you can go ahead and pay the 15% booking fee (maximum of 199 $£€ for longer term bookings) using a choice of payment methods: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, Laser, JCB & PayPal (not available in certain countries). You then pay your host on arrival or as stated by your host on their profile and agreed by you on booking. Please be cautious if a host requests advance payment if its not included on their profile. Our hosts have been advised that if they wish to request advance payment they must make this explicit in their profile. We do not recommend the use of Money gram or Western Union.
When can I share my contact details?
Host and Guest email address, phone number and home address will be exchanged in a confirmation email sent to both immediately after a booking is completed. It's against our policy for Guests and Hosts to exchange direct contact details via our messaging system.
