Welcome! Private entrance, private bathroom and kitchen in our independant ground-floor flat. We welcome guests to stay in our 3 floor semi-detached house in a quaint village located in the beautiful Illasi valley on the outskirts of the ancient city of Verona. Our ground floor room is a very spacious wood-paneled room with its own terrace where you can enjoy a glass of local Soave (the enchanting walled town and castle of Soave is a fifteen minute drive away) or Valpolicella wine or have a bbq overlooking the green hillside and cherry groves.
The room is furnished with a long wooden dining table and chairs, has cooking facilities, large fridge, sofa and double bed (2 single beds or an extra single bed in the Additions to the double, are disponibile anche on request). There is a private bathroom with a shower and washing machine - we access it only to do the washing!
There is a traditional wood-burning stove (firewood provided!) And a fireplace for a warm and cozy atmosphere during the winter months and the gentle breeze Which blows down the dry river from the nearby mountains will keep you cool in the summer.
We have a large (and rather wild) garden with cherry, apple and pear trees equipped with table, umbrella and chairs, a swing and a small pool during the summer months. Also you can use our mountain bikes on the track That starts right behind our house. There are many hiking routes nearby and the mountain tracks, outdoor ice-rink, ski slopes and resorts are just a short drive away.
A sports center with horseriding, a gym and indoor and outdoor swimming pools is just a 10 minute drive away and there is a well-known pizzeria / restaurant with play-park within at 2 minute walking distance for your evening meals if you do not want to cook for yourselves. Wifi access is available for a small fee.
I am a language tutor and translator and can Provide Inglese or Italian conversation lessons on request. Students of any level or age are very welcome and tailor-made individual, group or family courses can be organized in advance or booked During your stay.
