My husband and I had a great time at our hosting family, Jun at Ama City, Japan, who received us with warmth and homeliness that no hotel or hotel-like institutions can offer. Their house is close to a train station and we find no difficulties moving around places.

The best of Nagoya was indoubtfully stay with Jun, Junichi and their daughters Kanna and Natsume. They treated us as part of their familiy, sharing their meals, their stories... and taking care of our 7 months baby Ari-chan, who was very happy when returning home.

Nagoya is not a touristic place to visit, not even to walk, so it is better to plan this visit in order to know japanese culture from inside: knowing how a japanese familiy lives, knowing how is a japanese house, the traditional food, the public baths, the charming neibourghood, the fantastic local shrine...

This family has a very interesting point of view of taking people from abroad to let their daughters practise english and know different cultures in a country where that is not very common. Brave people.

Love you from Deborah, Ivan and Ari-chan.

It was excellent! She met us at the station even before we called her. She made us feel very welcomed to the point where we felt like we have been living with them for years! She cooks amazing and helped us very much with information on our next city. She took us back to the station when it was time to go. It was a great time! We will definitely come back and for a longer amount of time! Thank you Jun!!! Your the best!
