Our stay with Virgil was brief but awesome! He made us feel right at home, and he was quick to offer us recommendations and make our stay as comfortable and easy as possible. Virgil is very knowledgable about the area and has tons of good stories to share! The location of his home couldn't be more convenient! It is only a short walk from his home to the beach. Everything worth seeing is in walking distance.

Thank you so much Virgilio for such a wonderful, relaxing and beautiful stay. Virgilio is an incredibly interesting, kind, funny and helpful person, who does everything to make your experience comfortable and special. His home is comfortable, convenient and homely, whic h has all you need. This is exactly what I was looking for at this stage of my trip and I am so grateful to have visited. Regardless of whether you're on a spiritual journey or just sightseeing, Kamakura and the surrounding area are worth a visit.
Virgil and Peter are wonderful hosts. They know every little detail about the history of Kamakura, Japan and East Asia in general, as well how all these pieces are interconnected and are happy to share their knowledge with you. They are humble creatives who find beauty and meaning in many things. My stay was short this time, but I will visit them again and see where this journey called life will have taken all of us by then. I am grateful for every day in this place and their company.

Stayed 4 days at Virgil, and could have stayed longer, as the city has many things to see. Virgil has great histories from around the world to share and he also offer tours in Kamakura, which history he has studied.

Thank you so much, Aleksander (the Great) for such a warm complimentary review. I wish you could have stayed longer and was sorry to see you leave. But somehow I feel we shall meet again! In the meantime I wish all the best in all your future journeys, both physical and spiritual.

Virgilio and Peter were very friendly and accommodating for our stay. We got lovely breakfast and lots of information about Japan and the area. Few good places to visit in an easy living town. Short train's connections to/from Kamakura, easy access for Enoshima. INot a modern place but it's great to meet someone who speak English and really know Kamakura and Japan well. Thank you indeed.

Thank you, Lanna, for your very kind review. It was indeed a pleasure having you and your niece with us, and talking with you about the ever-fascinating history of Kamakura, as well as myriad other things about Japan. We hope to see you back here someday! All the best.

    Amazing!
Me and my boyfriend, we spent 3 days 2 nights here.

For the FIRST TIME come to Kamakura, we feel so lucky to know Virgil and Peter:
    - They are so lovely and they are the wisest man we have ever met. They literally know everything related to culture, history, and geography about every place in Kamakura. If you need advice or a tour guide, I would highly recommend Peter, he will make your trip more meaningful and interesting ^^
    - The hosts are super supportive and friendly, and the breakfast is just as he said on the info ^^

    About the homestay:
    - It's nicer than the pictures you see on the website, cause they added some more art decoration which makes the room so comfy that we are lazy to go outside!!
    - It's beautiful, warm, and clean.
    - Location: we basically WALKED to every famous spot in Kamakura, and easy to approach Enoshima and further places.

If you guys looking for a place in Kamakura please come and visit their homestay. It's perfect place for your trip.

Me and Ellinor had such a pleasant stay with Virgil and Peter! They know so much about Kamkura, and they helped us out with tips on where to go. In addition to this they were kind enough to invite us for dinner and it was very nice talking to them about just about anything. They are both very interesting and nice people with a lot of knowledge and many fun life experiences. They also kindly helped us out with our laundry for free. The room was nice and clean like the rest of the house and the location couldn’t have been better. So close to the Enoden line and also walking distance to many attractions. Next time we go to Kamakura we would love to stay here again!
