About the Area
Tengachaya Station is a hub of activity night and day but as soon as you move away from the station, things quieten down. We are 320 meters from the station, so only 4 minutes way on foot but in a quiet zone. There are dozens of shops and restaurants within walking distance and prices here are cheaper than Namba and Umeda. Tengachaya has been a residential area for over 400 years, and you can see evidence of this long history all around our neighbourhood. Come and see, you'll love it!

Ana was very helpful. She gave my detailed directions on how to get to her house and recommendations on what to see in Osaka. Thank you very much Ana and Craig for letting me stay at your beautiful home.
This being my first time in Japan, Ana & Craig made my trip a memorable one. This peaceful neighborhood gives access to all the major attractions in Osaka, Kyoto and beyond. From the many recommendations to the laugh out loud conversations, I found a home away from home in Osaka. If you are planning to stay in the area, this is your best bet.
Ana and Craig were great hosts. They helped me find my way around the neighborhood and were very nice to chat with. I was able to cook in the kitchen and use the common space as well.
This trip was amazing. The hospitality of Ana and Craig were second to none that I'd experienced the whole time. Ana would always go above and beyond to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible, Craig would always be down for a beer and to swap stories from all around the globe, or give history and advice on where to go, what to do, what to say/not to say! Very easy going and I could not recommend this place higher.
They will be missed, and I hope to get back again some day.
Thank you very much once again from Australia, Ana and Craig!
The home is super beautiful, fashion, cute, and clean. Ana and Greg are talkative, sweet, and warm. If I go to Osaka again I’ll definitely stay at their house again! I had a wonderful experience and memory there.
This guest awarded the host 5 hearts but didn’t leave any comments.
Craig and Ana were such lovely hosts! Very welcoming and responsive, and had some nice suggestions for places to visit. Their home was clean and comfortable, and they were available in the evenings to chat. Really enjoyed my stay with them and would definitely like to stay again if I’m ever in Osaka again in the future!
I had a really great time at Ana's and Craig's house. It was located in a really convenient area (only three to four minutes to the station) and I felt really welcomed. We often talked in the evening, ate together in the morning and I got a lot of recommendations what to do or where to eat in the area and in Osaka generally. They're really nice people and I hope we see each other again.
If I'll go to Osaka again I'd really like to stay with them again!
Many greetings to them!!
Michelle from Germany (:
Ana and Craig are such wonderful hosts – we greatly enjoyed their company and our only regret was not staying longer. Their home is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Its location makes it very convenient to get around in Osaka and to visit Kyoto, Nara, and Kobe as well, once you make it out of the local area which is so lovely! Ana was so helpful from day 1 helping us settle in and providing directions. We absolutely loved our trip in Japan and are so thankful to Ana and Craig for sharing their home and a piece of Osaka; we look forward to visiting again :)
