Mimura-san was a great host who took great care of her guests. She would provide us breakfast in the mornings and offered me a ride to/from the train station. The location is very close to Universal Studios, and the surrounding neighborhood is very peaceful and beautiful. There is a relaxing river near the home that is very serene to walk alongside at any time of day. I highly recommend this homestay to anyone visiting Osaka!

Mimura provided us with the authentic Japanese experience! She helped us cook Okonomiyaki, along with watching baseball with her husband and son. We felt right at home and like we were instantly part of the family. Mimura drove us to the train station and Universal Studios and even gave us her rain poncho to wear one day. She cooked us breakfast every morning and made sure we were looked after and given everything we needed. Her son took us out for dinner and drinks on our last night, showing us the ropes of Japanese BBQ. This was the perfect homestay!! x

It was a very pleasant stay, with very interesting experiences (like cooking an onomiaki). Thanks for all Mimura san.

Mimura-san is a great host. She owns two adjacent condo units. She and her husband occupy one; their youngest son occupies the one next door. Homestay guests share the latter condo with the son. There can be up to 3 homestay guests - two in the tatami room, 1 in a bedroom. During our stay the condo was fully occupied, so 4 persons shared the single bathroom and shower. This turned out NOT to be a problem since everyone followed their own unique schedules.
Public transportation to/from the condo is convenient. You can walk to Ajikawaguchi Station (安治川口) where Mimura-san picks you up on your first day or, walk over to the bus stop and catch one of 3 buses (probably #56). We were regular users of the bus.
Our favorite local shopping spots were the covered shopping areas (商店街) Shikanjima, Tokimeki Street, and Konohana Street - all at Bus #56's Chidoribashi stop. Also at this stop is a Hanshin subway stop and, if you look for them, 3 "sento" (public baths, 銭湯). I recommend the "Chidori Onsen" (千鳥温泉). These baths are excellent after a day of sightseeing and shopping. Public bath, 30-min walk into the setting sun to condo. A fine end to a day.
The Yodo River is a couple of blocks from the condo. There is a wide walking/biking path atop a rebuilt levee there. Walk one way towards the city, walk the other way towards the yacht club. From the yacht club a bridge leads you to a small island (Maishima) where you will find a few peculiar sights. A long and curious walk.

We had a lovely stay at Hisa’s house! She is so nice and she makes sure her guests are well looked after. My daughter loves her so much! We definitely recommend Hisa to anyone who wants to stay in Osaka. She is always happy to help out with directions and even gives helpful tips on where to go and when is the best days to go to avoid busy days on places like USJ. We are happy to stay at her place next time we go to Osaka again
