I stayed with Yuma and Sanae for 3 weeks and they are nothing short of amazing. They are warm and welcoming, will to help you out with any questions you have, and truly treat you like a part of their family. They even went out of their way to take me on several day trips including the famous Boroi festival, Kamakura, and a very special Holiday Christmas concert. Although my Japanese was limited, Sanae was willing to converse with me everyday and Yuma also frequently took time out of her busy schedule to be around when I was home. They are good, wonderful people and very open to learning about you and where you come from. If you are looking for the quintessential homestay experience that sets itself apart from a typical AirBnB, I cannot recommend Yuma and Sanae's home enough!
Although I could only stay for a short time, the homestay with Yuma and her mother Sanae was a great experience. The room was a traditional tatami room... I slept great on the futon bed. I find also everything including the bathroom was clean.
Breakfast also was good and the two are more then willing to suggest great location to visit and ask about your day.
Nearby is a public bathroom house and further within distance of a bike ride is an onsen, which was a great experience if you haven't already been to one.
Overall it was a great experience and look forward to booking the place again.
I had wonderful stay, Yuma and her mom took time from their busy schedule to show things around neighborhood and also took me to Onsen. Yuma's mom Sanae prepared great breakfast everyday, highly recommended. Thanks to them again.
Yuma and Sanae her mother were the best hosts.
They are taking good care of you by making you super tasty breakfasts and also by bringing you to a close Onsen.
The room is prefect and quiet.
The location is great in a lovely neighborhood, only 15 minutes from Shinjuku on Odakyu line (not JR though).
We definitely recommend that place to stay in Tokyo!
Thanks again and see you soon!
Sehr nette Gastgeber.
Thank you so much I really injoy staying at your hous .
Yuma and her Mome are very nice ,they give me great filing ,like a home , moreover they showed me around (stores ,restaurants and temples ),in addition they adviced me and give me helpful information .I hope to meet them agin ))).
I have been asked what my favorite country is out of all the places I have visited. There is really no country that I like more than another, but rather the people, warmth & genuineness of an experience. My favorite experience is in Japan for how Yuma & her mom made me feel from the first minute I walked into their home. My stay was short because I was in Tokyo to hike Mt. Fuji but when I left in the morning I feel sad like I have been staying with them all summer. I hear other guests have return 3 times and there must be a good reason why. Just the breakfast alone is worth flying across any ocean to visit this house. But the time both of them took to spend with you & show you around is worth more than any amazing countries I've been too.
